In love with AP, should I move back?
Hi AP-ers,Currently I have PP 5726a for daily, and AP novelty RG for weekends. I felt a little bit not satisfied with my daily PP. First, it is too light for me (of course if i am comparing with my novelty rg)Second, it is also too small.I am thinking to sell my PP and buy another AP, is it wise decision? I also plan not to add funds just will trade it. Do you guys have any suggestions for me? I am thinking about AP rubberclad RG, is it a good move back?Cherrs, Mike
an FYI regarding Ceramic
Good morning all!Just thought I'd drop some information on my fellow AP-enthusiast brethren. As of late, AP has been using ceramic as a case material more frequently (look at the SIHH...white ceramic Diver, white ceramic 44mm, and a gray 44mm) so I thought it'd be worth asking them how much a replacement case would cost should something happen to it. I got a quote back for $3580 for middle case and then you add labor (in the case of my Orange Diver). That's almost 3x as much as a case replacement for Forged Carbon (roughly $1100-1300).
I brought home the classic 2254.50
I was torn betwee the PO w/the orange bezel or the classic smp....and the classic won out. I'm very pleased! The PO will have to wait...
Stashing Rolex at the gym
I just became the proud owner of my first rolex (an LV), and naturally don't ever want to take it off my wrist. However, I also live in NYC, where driving a personal vehicle, etc isn't a thing. I go to the gym every day, Mon-Fri, straight after work because its easier for me to get to the gym from work. The gym has the type of locker room where you bring your own typical combination lock, find an empty locker, and lock up your stuff until you leave.I never bat an eye about doing this every single day with my clothes, wallet, and daily beater watch, but I would never do so with my rolex (as I'm sure neither would many of you). The gym is not a high-crime area/population or anything, but it just isn't a risk I'd take. So my issue is- I end up only being able to wear my wonderful watch on the weekend! Which sucks. However, the gym also has lock boxes by the front entrance, directly across from the check-in desk which is constantly manned by at least 1 employee, and also in pretty much direc
