DC's last AP AD to close
Since we kind of discussed this on a separate Rolex thread I thought we might as well make it more broadly available.Lenkersdorfer (owned by Liljenquist & Beckstead) in Tyson's Corner has lost their AP AD status. From what I can tell, they are not even sure why as they had a really good placement in the store and I think they did a decent amount of business. Nor did they provide heavy discounts that undermine the brand, but still. The closest AP AD is now Govberg in Philadelphia, PA.Somehow I doubt that AP will open up a boutique in the DC area, but who knows that they are up to?
Hooked!
Unloaded 2 watches (Rose Gold Franck Muller Conquistador & Panerai Daylight) and picked up these two..IMG_1832.JPGIMG_0861.JPGCan't believe how awesome AP is and why it me this long to get in the game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Omega online customer service is good
I sent an email via Omega web site requesting the PDF instruction for a discontinued model Omega Speedmaster X33. I got email response from them in under 24hr, with the PDF instruction attached.I like this kind of quick turn around for online customer service. :)
Fresh from the Patek "spa"
My wife bought me a second hand Gondolo for our 10th wedding anniversary. It really is a beautiful watch with a lovely form and clear dial - but I always like to get used watches serviced. It has been gone for 4 months and had a new hour hand, new glass, new strap and a spring of some description inside the works. I also asked for an Extract from the Archives - which turns out to be a beautiful certificate showing the serial numbers of your case & works, the date of manufacture and date of first sale. A nice souvenir in place from the original papers - oh and the dealer gave me a nice Patek magnifying glass. It really is like a new watch - I'm almost frightened to wear it !I hope you enjoy my poor phone pictures.
Calling for a Loupe Amnesty for TRF Rolex owners
Yet more posts, high blood pressure and worry this week in what has become a phenomenon almost exclusively attached to Rolex owners on TRF.Its time to call for a loupe amnesty. Maybe the Mods can dish out free pledge memberships for those who send in pictures showing themselves taking a hammer to their loupes and rejoicing in their character scratches. This forum would be a much better place if this could be so.What say you?bring on the
