Panerai Radiomir 3 Days Platino 47 mm
In the late 1930s, Panerai created a few examples of the Radiomir with a unique dial design. Today, only two examples survive. Why they were created is not known. Their history washed away with the Panerai archive in the Florence flood of 1966. The new Radiomir 3 Days Platino picks up this dial design, which has never before been revived. Find the launch date, wallpaper and pricing inside. The origin of the dial is not easy to identify. According to Panerai, some historians believe the two surviving examples (which differ in that one has a small seconds dial and the other does not) may have been test samples that were never serially produced. The brown dial of the new Radiomir, protected by a Plexiglas crystal, has a minimalist appearance, with alternating bar-shaped and dot hour markers, rather than the characteristic large arabic figures typically found on classic Panerai dials. Considering buying my first AP... Veteran Rolex buyer! Tempt me PLEASE!
Hi GuysI visited a grey dealer today who stocks rolex, AP and Panerai. I went in with the intention of placing an order for a rolex Day Date 2 18k YG and we got speaking about APs. The dealer had on a ROO Rubber Rubber.... well thats what he told me it was called! The dealer said it retailed for ?18,000 but he was able to get me one for ?10,000 brand new. He made a very interesting comment regarding why I should invest in a AP. He said that in his opinion it wasn't sensible to spend over ?10k on a watch that was widely available on the market i.e virtually every rolex model over ?10k. He asked me, Why would I want to wear such an expensive watch that many people owned! He said an AP was a good buy as it was respected a bit more widely and a little more exclusive due to limited units made per year.Should I go with AP? How well do AP hold their value? Is the ROO rubber rubber a good first buy?PLEASE HELP!Especially interested in hearing from owners of both Rolex and AP.I currently own TT
Rolex - 'stuff'?
'Morning all, there's a strange golden blob in the sky, here in the UK,anybody know what it is?Just wondering, with all the 'madness' going on at the mo', are thevalues of all the associated parephernalia connected with Rolex, beingdragged up the price lists too?
GMT II 16710... Factory service polishing?
I have a A serial 16710 which I've owned since 1999... It's always run perfectly. I sent it in to Rolex for a factory service in 2013, they also did a light polish on it. How does factory polishing effect the future value of these watches? Should I refrain from having it factory serviced again if they always polish them?
Let's all just take a deep breath :)
I'm excited too! Nothing wrong with that. Most of us all have some pretty beautiful things in hand and ready to appreciate TODAY!
