A Musical Whirlwind: Introducing the Raymond Weil Nabucco Cello Tourbillon
To some collectors, a watch brand even one with a proud history only proves its horological legitimacy when it produce its first tourbillon. Geneva-based Raymond Weil joins that prestigious club this year, with the release of its extremely limited Raymond Weil Nabucco Cello Tourbillon. Best of all, the watch still manages to fit squarely into the brand’s long-held value-for-price arena. The Raymond Weil Nabucco Cello Tourbillon, of which only 10 pieces will be made, is the brainchild of brand CEO Elie Bernheim, a grandson of company founder and namesake Raymond Weil,? as well as an avid music lover and accomplished cellist himself. Music and musical themes have long influenced the company’s identity, from the names of its watch collections (the Nabucco family, for example, is named for a famous opera) to its partnerships with concert halls, musical awards ceremonies and music-related charities. The new tourbillon watch incorporates musical themes directly into the

Introducing The Montblanc Heritage Chronomtrie Dual Time, A New Offering With In-House Complication
Montblanc's 2014 lineup was strong. Models such the Meisterstück Heritage Pulsograph, the Villeret 1858 Vintage Pulsographe and the Meisterstück Heritage Perpetual Calendar paved the way to a strong 2015. Montblanc also recently revealed its Orbis Terrarum Worldtimer with an in-house complication at a rather accessible price point. The new Montblanc Heritage Chronométrie Dual Time draws from that same development process and introduces a dual-time complication. The stainless-steel case of the Dual Time measures in at 41 mm x 9.9 mm. It has a modern dress diameter and is slim enough to easily slide under a cuff. A flat bezel, alternately polished and satin-finished balances the dressiness and everyday wearability of this model. Faceted lanced hour markers (the second time in blue) add solid aesthetics to the design. The dial is finished in a sunburst pattern with applied indexes and a numeral 12, all polished and faceted. 2 OF 3 As we've said befor

Online Videos in the new Christies "Watch Shop"
I read the two articles about Patek in Financial Times, 09/09/2014, page 6 of the Watches & Jewelry section. A small article announcing the opening of a new online used watch store at Christie's got my attention so I spent about an hour on it. The site offers great videos discussing various Pateks. Very informative. Go to .christies/watchshop. Enjoy!
