Finally Got A Cockpit
I've wanted a Cockpit since I first saw a picture of one. I had a chance to pick one up recently and couldn't pass it up. I think this is my favorite time piece I've owned. The dual date wheel really sets this model apart from the rest and snaps into place right at midnight. My lighting wasn't great but here are a few quick shots of it. The pics don't do the detail of the dial any justice.

Perpetual Pateks Still Come With Winder Boxes?
Does anyone know whether perpetual Pateks are still sold in the U.S. with a winder presentation box? I bought a new 5140 two weeks ago from an AD. It came with a beautiful wooden presentation box, but no winder. Have they been discontinued, or did the AD keep it? Wanted to check here before complaining. I can't find anything on Patek's website concerning the accessories, other than the solid case back and setting tool.
Incoming a happy AD story
So sometime in February I stroll into my AD and inquire about the SD43 126600 list. Now I've go long history with this AD but not the sales person so she tells me there are no lists first come first served.Fast forward to today and I get a call from her and she asks if I'm still interested and I say hell yes. So I jet down to them and there it is in all its glory. She tells me if I want to pass there are others to call and I remind her she told me there were no lists. Laughing she tells me all SS models have lists and I just happened to be first on the SD43 list. After being on bended knee to the boss (read the wife) I'm now the proud owner of my very own seadweller 126600, and I'm stoked
Show your NATO-strapped Explorer II
Hi everyone,I have incoming a Polar Explorer II 16570, which I expect to arrive next week. It will be keeping a company to my 14060M Submariner. As I wear the Sub on its bracelet I plan to put the Explorer II initially on a NATO. I am bit concerned that some NATO straps will not fit, particularly if they are on the thick side, e.g. Haveston straps which I quite like. The 16570 is the SEL/no lug hole case variant which I've read somewhere that the pins are closer to the case and hence the NATO straps need to be very thin to fit. Can someone confirm this? I will appreciate pictures of your 5 or 6 digits Explorers II rocked on NATO straps with some info about the strap itself. Bring them on!Sent from my MI 5 using Tapatalk
