A little experiment...
Greetings TRF,I have posted a few threads over the past months where I'd buy new bands for my watches. However, lately I've been thinking about doing things a bit differently...I found this gold plated bracelet on Ebay and thought I would give it a try. Given that I have a few gold watches I thought that one of them would be able to handle it and surprisingly it seems like my AP, despite its very thin case, can be worn on it without looking too odd (in my humble opinion, that is). I understand that it may sound a bit strange to put a gold watch from that company on such a cheap bracelet but I'm that type of man, I personally like the look of it and I think life is too short to avoid trying new things out every once in a while. I'll let you all comment and give your honest opinion on that new combo. Fear not, the leather band is still around and already ready to be put back on when needed. Looking at a cool million bucks
had to drop by the AP boutique in Bal Harbour to get a replacement strap for my watch and couldn't keep my eyes away from these. very impressive stuff.

New Rolex after 17 years
Finally in the market for a new Rolex. I purchased my first one in 2001, a stainless and silver dial Datejust with a smooth bezel, when I got my first well paying job (I was 26) with the intention of keeping it forever and passing it along to my son when I had one someday. Well forever was shortened when it was stolen from my home (long story) in 2013. The Datejust garnered a lot of attention so I also purchased a Tag Monaco WW2110 as well as a Tag Monaco Steve McQueen Calibre 11 boutique edition both of which which I still have. My homeowners insurance paid for the stolen Datejust I never replaced it. Fast forward 17 years later and I finally have my 9 month old son and want another Rolex to pass down to him. I am deciding between a Submariner 116610, 114060 16610 (2001 same year as my first Rolex) or GMT 116710 black (I know Batman is more desired but don’t care for the black blue combo), 16710 Pepsi circa 2001 as Magnum PI was my favorite show as a kid and is responsible for
