Omega Speedmaster Pro 3572.50 - The Eagle has Landed
I sold my 3570.50 about 6 months ago and was missing it. I think the Speedmaster is one of the handful of watches that every collector needs to have in his collection. Like the Submariner, it is timeless.When the opportunity came up to acquire another one, it just happened to be the discontinued 3572.50. I believe it was around 2002 that Omega discontinued the 3572 in favor of the 3573 (also known as the sapphire-sandwich). The changes were the introduction of the sapphire crystal instead of hesalite and also the inscription on the caseback that was changed from First Watch on the Moon to First and Only Watch on the Moon.One thing I have noticed is that the 3572 has a bracelet that tapers to the clasp, and the clasp doesn't have the push-button release like the newer Speedmasters and Seamasters. Help me decide, 14060m vs 114060
Should I get 14060m 4-line or a 114060? I like the look of the 4-line with the engraved rehaut which is why I like the 4-line 14060m instead of the 2-line. One one hand, I like the classic shape of the 14060m and still have trouble accepting the maxi-lugs. But on the other hand, the ceramic bezel and glidelock are appealing. I keep going back and forth and need a nudge from the folks on the forum.
