Date change/sign of service need?
Hello everybody,Long time lurker in need of a little perspective. This subject has been posted here ad nauseam (I read most of the threads before posting this) but I didn’t quite find an answer to this:I recently purchased a GMT Master II 16710 from 1991 from a very reputable dealer on the west coast. Watch runs perfectly, very stable, not slow nor fast. I’m currently in Europe and because of the time difference I happened to be awake to hear the date change a few nights ago. When I looked, it wasn’t midnight but 12:14 and it’s been consistent every single night at the same time. Since it’s consistent and the watch is running fine, I’m assuming that the watchmaker who last serviced it, wasn’t careful enough to set the minute hand properly. My question is: despite the watch running well, could this lateness in the date change (consistent and all) be an indication of deteriorating lubrication? The dealer has offered to have his watchmaker adjust
