HYT H1 Hyrdo Mechanical Watches Start Shipping + Mini Interview
The much anticipated and highly fawned over HYT H1 Hydro Mechanical watch is now shipping to retailers globally. Just the fact that HYT is telling us this is a good sign. Why? Well when we go to shows liked Baselworld to see new products, they are often prototypes or pre-production models. Brands use those experiences with the media and retailers to determine how many watches to build, or whether certain pieces should be produced at all. Immediately after people like me see cool stuff we want to write about them. For example, I did a hands-on article with the HYT H1 watch here. Consumers interested in the watches after learning about them at that point have no opportunities to buy them. When they are eventually released most brands offer no announcement which really makes it difficult for people to know when the timepieces they want to buy are eventually available for sale.HYT announces the global release of the HYT H1 watch collection with a fun video, and an actual announcement which
Help with some information on a vintage Seamaster a buddy wants to sell me
Good morning everyone! I'm in need of a bit of help, I think I'd like to buy a vintage Omega Seamaster from a friend but I can't seem to google exactly the information I'm looking for to make a wise decision. It's running but of course not real well, and the face is pretty grungy. Well without further ado ... Here he is: I really like the watch. I'm assuming it's a calibre 354 and then the serial number will somehow date it. I'm used to Rolex, so much easier to date and research. I'll certainly get rid of the speidel band ..... lol, or does that make the watch? Thanks for any help I can get. I just love these old pieces. Needless to say: it was a moment in time. Sub 16800
I'm looking at a Sub 16800 R serial number (purchaseed new in 1988) that's complete with the box, documentation, and full history. I have a couple questions.1) The braclet was replaced a few years ago with a new Rolex braclet. Should that have any effect good or bad on the value?2) Besides feeling good about the purchase is there anything else I should do to help determine an appropriate price? Thanks
