Hi Guys, Can i check if the previous model of ROO 44mm RG has been continued already. I find the dials for previous model more readable than the new model. Thanks for reply.
Audemars Piguet Diver vs. Rolex Milgauss Z Blue
I know both watches look and feel very differently but as someone who owns a 15400, would you rather choose a Milgauss Z Blue or the Diver as a next watch?
Patek Philippe authorized dealer visit
Greetings TRF,I just thought I would share with you my experience at the only Patek Philippe authorized dealer in the province of Quebec. I went there yesterday with my girlfriend, a hot and sunny day if I may describe it.Now before I get into details and start to show pictures, I would like to personally dedicate this thread to Dan (dddrees). Dan, you have been a wonderful asset to this section of TRF and I truly enjoy your helpful, funny and interesting threads! Please do take those mediocre pictures and this quick review as a gift for all the things you've done around here (without pushing it, of course, but I do think you are a great helper in this sub forum). Now let's start the review, shall we? We start our little visit by parking a few streets from the AD (parking is rarer than a Patek Tourbillon in Montreal...) and walking towards the place. As I said, it was a beautiful day and we did enjoy the weather. Are we there yet? D'oh! We arrived after a very long and painful walk (two
If only Rolex could make a watch to wear everyday.....
Just read this in a Time and Tide article - EVENT: 7 watches spotted at the launch of the Ferrari Portofino in Byron Bay, inc. IWC, Creux Automatiq and Rolex You could get a Rolex or an IWC and spend a lot of money, but I just wanted a watch I could wear every day. - Glenn Butler (big wig entrepreneur in Australia) on why he chose a Shinola. Note: this is not to demean Shinola. They have there place in the watch world. Actually, I like many of the face designs, just too big of a watch for my liking. Opinions are like wrist watches...everyone's watch shows a different time from others, but everyone believes that their time is correct.
Ferrite, meteor, and other stone type dials
I was in an ad today and they had a ferrite dial day date. I had never seen one before. Needless to say it was beautiful. They didn't have a meteor dial but I am aware of them. (Man I would love to own a meteor dial one day.) I think I saw a tiger eye dial one time and mop dials are fairly common. This got me wondering about the other Rolex dials made of natural substances (other than gold and platinum) like stones and meteors. Does anyone know or have a picture of any other types of stone or natural material dials? Thank you in advance. Love the information on this site.
