Franc Vila FV Evos 8 Cobra Blue Bandido Watch
The blue bandit. It hits you, leaving you with a black and blue eye. This Bandido is blue, and only for the US. Franc Vila re-touches his FV Evos 8 Cobra to be in all black with bright, electric blue hands. The limited edition shares the rest of the Cobra characteristics from the carbon fiber elements on the case and custom automatic rotor on the movement. Limited to 88 pieces and $28,000. Highway robbery? They don't call it a bandido for nothing.Read my article on the Franc Vila FV Evos 8 Cobra Blue Bandido watch here at Haute Living.
My New AP Chrono!
Just received this Royal Oak Chrono, the Alinghi City of Sails from Tony G at JustRolexes. It was produced in 2003, one of 1250 made. It's 39mm, so a bit smaller than most of what AP is producing these days, and I like that it has kind of an offshore vibe but scaled down. Also, as you can tell from the position of the date, it has the 2385 movement, so is a relatively thin 11.5mm.I'm excited to have an AP in the rotation again -- I had a 15300 a while ago, but traded it in for my Nautilus. The AP fills a sporty but elegant role for me, more sporty than the Patek, but not as sporty as a Rolex.
Trade 3 watches for AP Jumbo?
I've really been bit by the Jumbo bug lately and I'm considering flipping three of my mid level watches to get it. The three below would need to be flipped...114060ImageUploadedByTapatalk1442012403.874877.jpgIWC WorldtimerImageUploadedByTapatalk1442012416.529205.jpgWhite 1680 with great patinaImageUploadedByTapatalk1442012430.152556.jpgThe SubC and IWC are easily replaceable, the 1680 is a little more unique but not too rare.In addition to the Jumbo I'd be keeping my BLNR and Moonwatch, and eventually probably add a JLC reverso 1931 as a dress option. I really do love the 3 watches I'd be flipping but I'm not sure I have a sentimental arrachment to them like the Speedy and BLNR. I'm hoping that will also apply to the Jumbo. Probably my biggest obstacle is there is no AP boutique in southern CA so I won't be able to see it in the metal till I recieve it. So, anyone feel the Jumbo is worth three other great watches? Or should I bide my time and wait a few years till I can buy it out

Tool Watch Adventures
So, today I took my watch out of its comfort zone and it really earned its tool name. I was working out in a shady area out of convenience, not doing that again, and I just didn't want to leave the watch in my car or locker. I've seen other people workout in their Rolex and I wanted to try it out myself. What held me back wasn't really damaging it but being showy and coming off as obnoxious. Ended up getting a flat after the workout and had to replace the tire. Watch never came off. As nerdy as it sounds, I felt I made an extra connection with the watch today. On a side note, I hope the pic I'm posting debunks the idea that wrist size is everything. Apparently, my watch would just be too big for my wrist and I would come off as a clown by wearing one. I have a 6.5 inch wrist (albeit very flat). I'll let you decide if it's too big. I'm about 6 feet tall and fairly muscular. It's all perspective. Posting macro zoomed wrist shots of a watch on you really doesn't do anyone justice. Got to
