Project X Custom Rolex Daytona 'Paul Newman' Tribute & Other Colorful Variants
The Project X DS7 Custom Paul Newman Rolex Daytona and the other, colorful variations (Project X DS4, DS5, DS6) are as though?some of the pieces from our "Watch What-If" series became?real. I mean, sure, there are some varieties and colors to be had, but with certain brands, you are just not likely to see something that is, shall we say, a bit wilder than the rest of the lineup. Rolex?is a perfect example of this:?despite the seemingly massive interest in newer designs, unless you head to some of the aftermarket customizers, you will not be able to get your hands on a lime green Submariner (and perhaps that is for good reason) or a "tribute," vintage-inspired Rolex straight from the company. The chaps over at Project X, an independent company providing customizations to original brand manufacturers' watches, have tackled a particular Rolex that we do not often see customized: the Rolex Daytona.Apparently, this is not their first rodeo with the Rolex Daytona either. Back in 2010, they h
Ulysse Nardin El Toro Watch
Struck by the Moonstruck? Ulysse Nardin Moonstruck watch that is. I don't even know if I have published my article on the Moonstruck watch yet. I am shamelessly behind on publishing articles. I will get to the Moonstruck watch soon even though that is a model from last year. The El Toro is sort of a follow up model. It uses the same case and dimensions. Though the dial and complications are all different. Ulysse Nardin has created a pretty cool luxury watch here. It feels modern by not too strange. Very characteristic of the brand, though still novel. The El Toro watch features a GMT hand as well as a perpetual calendar - with w two digit year indicator. Comes in an gold or platinum case. The 38mm Transocean
Is a sleeper. An elegant, oh so wearable watch...and a fair value, too...Sensible proportions...dressy but still adventurous...The more I wear it, the more I like it.And that, I think, is the mark of a watch that's a pleasure to own.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Best Buys In Preowned Rolex
Hello,There are some models that are very popular, eg PN Daytona, Bond Rolex etc.... These are also very expensive. But I am curious about which models seasoned Rolex buyers think are good buys now. I suppose there are two ways of answering thisone with an eye to future appreciation, and the other just considering quality of the timepiece relative to money paid. Both would be interesting, but I am most untested in the latter, as the former is purely speculative. It seems to me that some Datejust models represent great values. I especially like ones with Buckley or Vignette dials. Anyway, what do you think?
