Watches NEWS
NEW to AP. DUAL TIME
I recently was able to get my first AP. I chose to get a AP dual time SS in black as the GMT feature is what I need.My wrist is not big with barely 6.5 inches, so the watch size is perfect. I wear the watch everyday and have got used to it. Couple of things to note are1. No second hand. This is weird as I cant tell how much seconds I'm gaining or losing per day or tell if the watch is running lol2. scratches very easily. This I dont mind as I wear this watch everyday. But recently i banged it lightly on a door and there are three big dents on the edge of the bezel.3. the luminescence is not bright at all. I dont know if any other AP watch is like this, but unless I put the watch in front of direct light for a couple of minutes, I can barely tell time in the dark.4. No one recognizes this watch at all. Only one person has asked about it and that was at a rolex AD. I hope to get another AP soon or maybe a nautilus next. Will try to add pictures later if I find out how.
Thoughts on this vintage Breitling Jupiter Pilot from the '90s?
Cousin to the venerable Navitimer, but with a distinctive case design that sets it apart...
Pics of my 2254
I've finally got some pictures of my 2254 I bought about a month ago. So far in about 3 weeks it has only lost about 20 seconds. My pictures aren't very good the watch looks a lot better in person.
Seeking technical knowledge
Wanted to see if there was some technical knowledge that I could pickup regarding my 5711 that is in for service.I sent it to Patek because it would no longer wind via the winding stem. The watch still ran and kept time when worn and wound by the rotor. The estimate came back and said that in addition to the service I also needed a reduction wheel and a balance bridge.A search does not reveal much.Does anyone know what these parts do and are there any images to show where they are in the movement? Thanks for any help.
LVC flip for Daytona C?
I purchased the LVC last spring from my AD. Yesterday I asked about a wait time for a white Daytona and was told that she would push me up on the list and would be looking at a very quick turn around time. I can't have both so the LVC would have to go. Looking to get a consensus...I have not seen a ceramic Daytona in person. My dad has an older Zenith Daytona that I love the look and feel of. Thanks in advanced!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
