Roger Dubuis Chronograph La Mongasque Big Number
At SIHH the Roger Dubuis booth presented a casino look, consistent with the launch of the new men’s collection La Mongasque. The piece that best represents the high-stakes gambling theme is the limited edition Chronograph Big Number which sports the classic casino colors black, red and green. The 44mm rose gold case recalls the brand’s popular Sympathie line. Behind the roulette-inspired dial lies the self-winding RD680 movement which has been designed, developed and produced by Manufacture Roger Dubuis. The double-pusher column-wheel chronograph features a central chronograph hand, 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, and small seconds at 9 o'clock. The movement, with 261 parts and 42 jewels, is 6.30mm thick and beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vph). The movement is adjusted in five positions and has received the Poin?on de Genve (Geneva Seal).Produced in a limited edition of 128 pieces, the Chronograph La Mongasque Big Number is priced at SFr.37,000.The Roger Dubuis boo
Hands-On: A Spectacular, Vintage-Inspired Unique Piece From The Extremely Piaget Collection
Today, when you hear the name Piaget, you probably think of the caliber 12P, the Altiplano, or insane diamond bracelet watches like the Limelight Aura. However, you may not be familiar with the incredible vintage designs for women’s watches that the brand was well known for in the 1960s and '70s. These pieces were not only gorgeous, but were also very innovative for the time. 1 OF 11 2 OF 11 After seeing several cool vintage Piaget pieces come across my desk while at Sotheby’s, I always hoped that Piaget would revive these designs, as I felt they would undoubtedly be a success. So when I heard that Piaget had created a unique piece inspired by one of their well-known and impressive cuff watches, I was pumped. Nay, elated. 3 OF 11 4 OF 11 This cuff watch is part of the Extremely Piaget collection, which is a tribute to the heyday of Piaget watchmaking and design in the 1960s and '70s. Piaget was the king of cool design and in
The Railmaster's great, maybe an 8500 next . . .
I'm really loving my 36mm Railmaster. So much, if fact, that I'm wondering if I should start thinking about one of those lovely 38.5mm ATs with the 8500 movement and teck dials. I've seen some nice photos of the Teck Grey dial, does anyone have some of the one in Teck Opaline Silver? I'm telling you, this is just crazy . . . now I'm looking at Rolex and Omega watches.
Nato Straps for a 47mm
Hi, anyone have a good source for a Nato strap for my 372? I saw a nice one on Instagram and asked the owner where he got it and he pointed me to an Italian company. When I contacted them, they said the shipping alone was 60 Euros to Asia for the straps. No way I'm paying more for shipping than the price of the straps. Anyway, does someone have a source for some good Nato straps?Cheers!
