Hamilton Khaki X-Patrol Watch
Ah, now here is a slide-rule bezel complication that I can use. I tend to make fun of these as I am not about to do long-division or calculate fuel consumption on a tiny slide-rule, if I need to figure that stuff out at allBut this one is actually handy. This new watch for 2012 from Hamilton is the Khaki X-Patrol and it has a metric to imperial conversion scale. That would prove useful as I often travel to Europe and having no idea how far things are and how much things weigh. I am such a proud American. It isn't going to replace a calculator, but in comparison to most slide-rule bezels out there, you'll probably use this one at least once in a while. The name of the watch sounds like it was made for some make-believe military force, but it looks pretty cool. I like how standard Hamilton Khaki watches look like they are made for actual military personnel, and the Khaki models with some extra term after them look ripe for wrist time on GI Joe character. You can decide for yourself what t
Fluted Rolex Watch Bezels: Seminal Bling
What do each of these watches have in common? Yeah, they are all Rolex watches, but there is something else here that Rolex is best known for; fluted bezels. The tooth like shaping on the area around the face of the watch has a very specific purpose.Around the time I first began to notice my appreciation for watches, I also began to notice how I did not care for Rolex watches. Since then, my tastes have developed and there is a lot of room for Rolex appreciation. Still, some of the models just don't do it for me. And most of those models feature a fluted bezel. The purpose of this article is to discuss what a fluted bezel is, why have one, and how they found a place on watches. Fluting is a technique taken from glass blowing and jewelry making. The idea is to have a toothed, corrugated, grooves, or channeled surface with highly polished surfaces. It stemmed from the concept of gem cutting, which attempts to create as many symmetrical flat surfaces as possible to refract light. The more

Hi everyone,I'm still looking to buy a Patek that I visually like (modern looking) and one that will hold value without spending $10K+. I found a listing for the above but am not familiar with the numbers at all. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!00V0V_54wCQ1pfaFx_600x450.jpg00E0E_e4291WXaLqQ_600x450.jpg

WG Sub or WG GMTII ?
Hey Guys , Trying to decide between the Smurf ( WG sub 116619LB ) or the WG GMT II ( 116719 BLRO) !For background I own SS white Daytona ( old non ceramic model ) and black SS sub ( 116610LN ).Anyway tried both on at AD and preferred the Smurf but the the AD said I should get the GMT seeing at I already owned a Sub and this would provide some variety to my collection. I have always drooled over the smurf so I kind of know the answer but wanted to hear the opinions of fellow fanatics. Thanks in advance for opinions.
