Jaquet Droz Bird Repeater Automaton Watch
Jaquet Droz is about to officially announce their new automata-based minute repeater watch called The Bird Repeater. Yup, that's right. Last March during Basel I got to view a computer rendering animation of the watch in action. While the minute repeater is activated a few things happen on the dial. Among those include a "moving" waterfall as well as a mother bird feeding a chick that hatches from an egg. Automaton birds are deeply part of Jaquet Droz's original history. While the concept is "original," the detailing and execution is really impressive.This picture was taken of a finished Jaquet Droz Bird Repeater watch by our friends at Watchonsita - who swung by Jaquet Droz HQ to be the first to check the piece out. Yesterday we talked about the new Montblanc Heritage Chronométrie Annual Calendar Chronograph, and today we are taking a look at the new Montblanc Chronométrie Collection Twincounter Date wristwatch – an equally elegant, well-made, and affordable watch to be officially released at SIHH in a few weeks.? 1 OF 2 Montblanc, as you may know, has had quite a major resurgence in recent years in their design and quality. They have released some pretty cool watches of late, including the 1858 Chronograph Tachymeter, the Villeret Tourbillon Cylindrique Geosphères Vasco da Gama, and the Heritage Chronométrie Quantième Annual Calendar. As Ben mentioned yesterday, Montblanc CEO Jerome Lambert pulls a lot of his inspiration from his time at Jaeger LeCoultre and A. Lange & Söhne, and that is apparent in the design

Sooo, where to go to find an AP?
Hey guys! Had a question for you....I live outside of Pittsburgh, PA and wondered if you had any advice on where to go to browse/try on some AP watches. As far as I know, there isn't anywhere close to me. Should I tie this in to a trip to NYC? Any advice? Thanks in advance!
