Thanksgiving Wishes to Watch Enthusiasts Online From ablogtoread.com
In accordance with the sentiments of the day, I wish to thank the Internet for bringing me that which I would otherwise be without. If it was not for the internet, myself, and likely many of you, would not be interested in watches or have the material to fuel our appreciation. With the Internet, watches, people, and places so far away, are instantly accessible to us. What was once a rare and isolated timepiece can now be shared with so many.It was in about 2002 that I started surfing the net for visuals of watches as my interest in timepieces grew. At the time, I knew of only a handful of watch makers, and had but the faintest idea of where to buy such watches. In time, I was able to discover so many brands, models, styles, and places to purchase, that it is now a full fledged hobby as opposed to idle interest. That combined with the buying and selling power of eBay spelled out that I would be hooked. The commercial side of the internet really brought back the notion of owning a rare a
15300 owners - how does the 15300 wear compare with a sports rolex?
Guys,Thinking about getting a 15300 but Im afraid that it will not feel as comfy as my 40mm sports rolex watches that I own.I guess the thin profile and relatively large size of the watch will make it dig in to the wrist. How would 15300 owners compare the feel and fit of the watch compared to a, for example, Rolex Sub?Thanks in advance!
5711A. Rolex and AP Trades. Any regrets?
Hi guys,Never owned a Patek. I've been eyeing a 5711 for some time but cannot hold myself to pull the trigger. It's a lot of money for a SS sports watch. So, I too baby steps and got myself an AP 15300 hopping the itch will go away. I put myself on the list for a 5711 anyhow, just in case.It seems that the 15300, while beautiful did not fully do the trick. I went to visit the AD last week again and tried on a 5712. It fits like a glove. I cannot get it out of my system. Although I am known for being trigger happy and selling 1 week later. Here is the deal. I need to sell my Hulk and the 15300 to make it happen. I know that I will lose money in case I need to flip back, sell the 5711, and buy back the Rolex and the AP.I know this is a personal decision but I want to hear your opinion on the following. Would you trade Hulk + 15300 + about 5k for the 5711? Any regrets once you got it? Cheers.

Help to choose between Bluesy and Speedmaster Moonphase
Dear TRF fellows,I need help today as I'm about to make a choice between those two very different watches: latest Bluesy 116613 vs Speedmaster Moonphase (I like both steel and two-tones so I'm not sure yet)Does anyone own both Bluesy and Moonphase, to see side by side pictures or on wrist? Which one to you prefer and why? Alternatively: Are they complementary ? In which occasion do you wear them ?Which one gives you the most presence? (important point in the business environment I live in - I'm a GM in an industrial company)I forgot to mention I already own a Sub date 16610 (daily wearer for more than 20 years), so it's a big decision for me but will never be a full replacement of my classic sub. Thanks for your help and ideasCheers, Chris
