Girard-Perregaux Chrono Hawk Hollywoodland Watch
Girard-Perregaux is about to release a new version of the still new Chrono Hawk called the Hollywoodland. An unofficial homage to the movie making capital of the world, the Chrono Hawk Hollywoodland is the latest effort in the brand's focus on entering the world of Hollywood. In 2012 Girard-Perregaux announced that it was going to be a sponsor and founding supporter of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The museum is currently in construction and will stand as an important cinema museum here in Los Angeles.Despite sounding like it, the Chrono Hawk Hollywoodland is not going to be a limited edition watch. Instead, it will sit as part of the larger Chrono Hawk collection. There will be two versions of the Hollywoodland watch, with one having a darker gray dial (ref.?49970-34-232-BB6A) and the other a lighter dial (ref.?49970-34-132-BB6A). Will Omega Boutiques mean no discounts
Went into a Omega boutique yesterday and was asking about the new PO and what discount they could do, they said no discounts. I asked if this was only on the new PO or all models, they said it was across the range and Omega was hot on any of their boutiques giving discounts. Does this mean if Omega goes over to boutiques we won't see discounts anymore like you can get in an AD or was this boutique just telling porkies to get full price.

The Astronaut, the Shark & the Seamaster
Believe it or not, there is a Seamaster in these photos, but it is under the astronaut's sleeve. This guy is better known for wearing the Speedy Pro, but sharks don't like them as much.

Used Omega values
As a Brand Omega are very good, but why is there such a drop in the value of a used Omega. I bought a SMP 4 years ago for about ?1100 and now I have beeen offered only ?450 max by a dealer. It would seem only Rolex hold their value. With hindsight I should have not bought the SMP and saved up for a Rolex.
