Casio & Surfrider Foundation To Release G-Shock X Surfrider Watch
The Casio G-Shock classic series is really the perfect surfer watch (unless you want the tide charts which are available on other Casio watches). This is because they are inexpensive, can take a beating, and often solar powered, and highly water resistant. Likely realizing this, Casio and the Surfrider Foundation teamed up and will release the Casio G-Shock X Surfrider watch in July 2009. The watch is model G5500SRF-1 and will feature special colors and a Surfrider Foundation logo on the face behind the data. A portion the money for each watch sold will go to the Surfrider Foundation. Interestingly enough the partnership is stressing the eco-friendliness of the watch because it is solar powered and does not need batteries. This is true, but a kinda salesy if you ask me. My Superocean is going in for a much needed service and refurb. Would it be possible to get it changed from brushed to polished?They did do a polished version from new but didn't know if they would do it under the cost of a refurb.

Constellation advice
I was given this watch in trade for some things from a collectors daughterI find many Contellations but I can't pin this one down. I do not possess tools and am afraid of opening. Any help greatly appreciated.

Is the 1200m Ploprof wearable...
on 6.5 inch wrists ? I tried it on once (was wearing my behemoth OS 300m diver on the day) at my AD and though it was heavy it definitely was not too large lug to lug or so...it's thick though .I have had my share of large watches, however have preferred 40-42mm lately. This might be changing slightly again...as in these last few weeks I've been considering the SBDB001 600m Seiko (large motha***). Normally I am a bit impulsive and am actually quite amazed at myself that I didn't order a new SBDB001 from Japan yet !However I would like to consider all alternatives and also wait for Basel (I'll do my best ....) as I'd like to see the new releases from Seiko, Omega and Rolex.So what can you tell me about the ploprof? Is it wearable on my 6.5inch wrists...also what would the weight on isofrane (head only) be please? Please give me your opinions regarding the watch and post many pics if you have them !
