Jaeger-LeCoultre Announces Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931 U.S. Edition
This past December, Jaeger-LeCoultre marked the Reverso’s 80th anniversary with two Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931 models. Today the brand introduces a new addition to the line, to be available exclusively at the Beverly Hills Boutique and select U.S. retailers. Find pricing and wallpaper inside. The timepieces introduced in December feature black or white dials with dagger-shaped hands and baton hour markers with white luminescent material, inspired by the original Reverso. The new U.S. edition differs in small but aesthetically important ways: it has straight hands with pointed tips, and to give the U.S. edition an aged look, Jaeger-LeCoultre used tan luminescent material.Another difference lies in the straps. By now it is well known that the Reverso was originally created for English polo players who needed a rugged watch to wear during their matches. Accuracy?
I've had my BLNR for nearly a year and it was brand new purchaced from an AD. I wear it every day and at one or two weekly intervals I reset the time and give it a bit of a clean. Up until a few weeks ago it's always been pretty much running +2 sec fast per day, which is within spec and very consistent. However a few weeks ago it suddenly jumped to +3 sec per day average. At first I put this down to maybe I made a mistake when resetting the watch, but it's been a few weeks since then and it's definitely the watch...It's still well within the warranty period so should I return it to the AD or just leave it and see if the accuracy improves or gets worse? For your information I usually check the time against 'Time.is'.
