Graham Geo.Graham The Moon Watch
A sky-style dial in deep blue and 18k pink gold is a very pretty thing in this new Geo.Graham The Moon watch by Graham. "Geo" stands for "George" who is the Graham guy that the brand is named after. George Graham was a British watch and clock maker from the 17th century. Even as the brand of today is totally Swiss, they still like to celebrate the English heritage of their namesake. This new timepiece is a lovely limited edition and quite high-end for Graham. Only 10 or 20 pieces will be produced (the press release and technical specs seem to disagree on the point of how many will be made), but its stunning design is certainly worth talking about. The watch begins with an impressively sized 46mm wide case (which is actually not large at all given the brand's Swordfish and Chronofighter collection of watches) in 18k pink gold. There is a blue sapphire cabochon in the crown - a not uncommon feature in watches but I always appreciate them. It also goes along nicely with the blue theme. The
Alexander Shorokoff Chronograph Kostya Tszyu Watch
I haven't spent much time covering this (Russian named) German brand, but they do make some cool stuff. This piece is a limited edition while a bit more mainstream with some interesting design cues. Yes, that bezel design is from a Vacheron Constantin Overseas. Alexander Shorokoff made this watch in honor of Russian champion boxer Kostya Tszyu and the piece has his name and silhouette all over it.Tszyu is another person on my list of "people I don't want to meet in a dark alley alone" but I have a feeling if you did run into him, it would help you out by wearing a watch with his name on it. The watch is actually part of a greater collection of timepieces from Alexander Shorokoff called the "Great Masters of Russia." Not sure who else got limited edition pieces but, clearly, the collection is meant to appeal to Russian customers. The watch is pretty neat looking and a fine interpretation of how to design a dial around an ETA Valjoux 7750. One thing that I have never seen before is how t
Average Cost of Speedy Service ???
What is the average cost of an Omega Speedy Service from Omega? Just curious, I don't like to buy watches that cost alot to maintain. I do maintain them and I can't imagine that Omega Speedy costs too much, but just want to know. I'm thinking just a movement service. Believe it or not, I like scratches and nicks (provided they aren't massive or on the xtal). Will Omega honor a request that you not polish the case? Also, do any of you guys us locals to do your service? I sent my Panerai (6497 movement) to a Rolex autorized repairer and it was completed at a fraction of the cost Panerai would charge. Panerai starts at $500 for an 6497. That is rediculous IMHO. Thanks in advance.
Lots of SS here or sale at this AD!
I'm in Guadalajara Mexico. I've seen three SD43 and three Subs for sale! They are at the Macame location.
Does the triple WatchPod fit Explorers and Subs?
I'm looking at this case I've never seen before, called the triple WatchPod. It holds 3 watches the same way the Oakley watch vault does which I love.Has anybody used this before and know the size? Here's the link: https://.amazon/dp/B078NDSN9Q
