IWC Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph Watch
Finally a boat themed watch that people will be comfortable using on a boat. Since its inception long ago, the IWC Portuguese watch was meant as a nautical companion. As its popularity and luxury level grew, so did people's reluctance to subject their beautiful IWC Portuguese watches to the elements. For for 2010 IWC has released a more sporty, but no less luxurious form of the Portuguese watch known and the Yacht Club Chronograph. It is instantly recognizable as a Portuguese but clearly has a nice sporty elegance to it. Not aggressive in anyway, but tastefully functional - exactly the reason people prefer Portuguese watches. Differences between the standard Portuguese watches and the Yacht Club are subtle, but apparently. Notably are the colorations on the dial, the luminant on the hands, and of course the rubber straps. New to AP's, a quick question!
I was looking on ebay and found a few day-date royal oaks with a moonphase complication, which were all from the 90's and older. Do they not make these anymore? Looking on the official website,I couldn't find any moonphase royal oaks: (other than the perpetual calender, and equation of time, which happen to be just slightly out of my $$ range )Thanks in advance.

Well I have been thinking and wondering if anyone else is, why Breitling does not employ a more aggressive approach to advertising and flaughting their history. so my thinking made me look, and all the watch magazines I have nothing is ever said of Breitling. but almost all have some mention of rolex, and most of omega and Pams ( what i think are the closest competitors for Big B) Rolex boasts every chance they get about there water proofness and deepest watch, omega boast about 1st watch on the moon ( what about 1st watch in space) any other thoughs about why Breitling wants to stay quite amongst loudmouths

Speedy Pro 3570 running fast..
Hey guys my Speemaster Pro is running about 8-10 secs fast per day and just wanted know if anyone else has this problem and what they did to rectify it... Is it a matter of just regulating the watch??? Is there any positions which you place the watch when not wearing it to assist in slowing it down?Thanks for your expert advise...Andy

New rules for putting names on waitlists?
In Hong Kong, it seems that most, if not all Patek ADs are still taking names for waitlists, but are employing a few new requirements to those who want to be put on the waitlist for any SS references. It seems dealers are now demanding a business card from a reputable local company. Overseas cards are not accepted, so most tourists are out. If you can't provide a business card, I know a few dealers have outright told people that they will not put you on the waitlist, or will quote a very long wait time. As a subsidiary point, all dealers have also told me that they will no longer ship out of Hong Kong. In addition, I was told that they will strictly adhere to the rule that all watches must be picked up by the same person whose name is on the waitlist, opened at the point of sale, papers filled out, and that they will not let you leave the shop without resizing the watch. In the end, with an overseas business card (but speaking the local language), I had success with getting on the wait
