De Bethune DB25 Special Edition for Only Watch
What is a watch, if not a machine to measure the flow of time? A kind of speed counter for the flux of an energy of which we know almost nothing, except that it exists and that it is carrying us somewhere. Find complete details, along with stunning wallpaper, for this De Bethune machine inside. What is absolute speed, if not that of light, that beyond which there is no more time, nor space, nor perhaps even energy? The logical conclusion is that any approach to watchmaking is in fact a reflection on infinity as we are able to admire it without actually comprehending it: it is an emotion born of the dizzying sensation stemming from a reality that transcends our grasp. And this is where a deliberately chosen aesthetic option must express a philosophical choice. With this DB25 specially created for Only Watch, De Bethune has chosen light as the medium from which to sculpt its conception of the world, of space, and of time. 5980 or 5990
It's early days and we've only just seen the 5990, but from your initial thoughts which do you prefer? The 5990 has me confused. On paper I love the combination of complications, and I'm starting to warm up to the aesthetics. However I don't know if that's because I 'want' to like it or if I actually 'do' like it.

DJ 41 chipped/scratched bezel. Idea? Suggestion?
Hi all, tried to ask the question in some threads but no answer, so I thought I start my own thread. I'm thinking to let go my DJ 41, but several months ago I dropped it accidentally thus creating this deep scratched/chipped on the bezel, hopefully, you guys can all see it from these photos. Anyone know if this type of thing can be easily polished? Or should I purchase a new bezel to replace it and then sell it. Not sure how much original bezel from Rolex, but I notice aftermarket parts on eBay cost relatively $800-900 for WGAnother option is, the main reason I want to let it go is due to the really shiny bezel, it's a little bit 'loud' for me, I also saw a SS bezel replacement for DJ, thinking maybe I can get the SS bezel and just keep the DJ, after all, I bought the watch when my daughter turned 1. Any suggestions appreciated.
