Some pics of my new baby
These are some pictures I have taken of my newest Incoming I love the feel of the watch. It wears so well on my 7inch wrist. It isn't as heavy as I thought, I did wear my SS diver on an Offshore bracelet. Just wanted to share
Swatch Group Target
Thought the following may be of interest to some Omega fans:Just read on the BBC Telextext page that Swatch Group are looking for sales growth of between 5% and 10% in 2012 after reporting record sales in 2011 (up 21.7% to 4.8bn / $7.5bn). I wonder where they are aiming most the the sales growth from? I'd reckon they'd have to shift a fair number of Swatch watches to reach their target, so I guess there will be a lot of pressure on the Omega Division.
Best Nautilus / Aquanaut combination - what would you choose
I'm about to pull the trigger and will buy 1 Nautilus and 1 Aquanaut. Models I love are:-Aquanaut 5167r and both 5164's.Nautilus - 5712 g and a and 5726a with leather strap. The crazy wait time for 5711a is just too much for me.If you could have 1 of each which would you choose and why???I'm erring towards 5712g and 5167r just now. Thin case profiles, 1 complicated and 1 time only watch and of course different metals. Sadly, the Premium for 5164r is just a little too much!Which would you choose and why?
UK pricing?
With most watch brands pricing is held fairly consistent from country to country and currency to currency. There may be some small tax advantages of buying in one place or another but generally it doesnt matter all that much where you buy it. For example Rolex DSSD: US retail 12,050 (?7800) UK retail: ?8050 (12,392)So basically in USD they are within $342 of each other and in GBP they are within ?250 of each other which makes it not matter all that much where you buy it as you are paying basically the same price. Which brings me to the PAM233, which I am currently looking at. With the US price reduction and the Europe price increase they are still pretty close but the UK is the outlier here. AFAIK the RRP is $12,300/11,500Euro/?9400 please correct me if I am wrongIn US dollar terms the PAM 233 is: $12,300 is the US $12,892 in Europe$14,470 in the UKIn Euro terms the PAM233 is11,500 in Europe, 10,971 in the US12,907 in the UKIn British pound terms the Pam233 is ?9400 in the UK ?837
