Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon: Crown Jewel of the Reverso’s 85th Anniversary (Updated with Live Pictures)
Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrates the 85th Anniversary of its iconic Reverso model in 2016, and the Swiss brand has launched a plethora of new Reverso watches at this year’s SIHH watch salon in Geneva to mark the milestone (click here for some of the models that have already been presented). By far the most technically masterful is the piece I just saw today, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon, a platinum cased, open-dialed, micromechanical marvel limited to 75 pieces.Jaeger-LeCoultre has drawn upon the full force of its watchmaking expertise in creating the all-new movement for the Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon, which is equipped with a new version of JLC’s now-famous bi-axial flying tourbillon device (click here for an in-depth look at how it’s made and how it works) and yet is 30 percent thinner in terms of both width and thickness than previous gyrotourbillon calibers. The watch, which is part of JLC’s Hybris Mechanica collection of ultra-complex
Bell & Ross BR 01-92 Radar Limited Edition Watch
The below article was written by contributor Marco, who sells Bell & Ross watches.By now, most people that know of it know that the Bell & Ross BR-01 watch was conceived to look like the instruments in an airplane cockpit namely the altimeter or other similar analog gauges. Airplanes necessitate plenty of gadgets to run, however, so Bell & Ross has taken their Instrument idea and extended it to include an other important element of flight instrumentation the Radar. The BR01 Radar will be produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces. It displays the time using three discs, each marked with a happily colored line to indicates a unit of time. This configuration emulates the sweeping light beam of the radar screen, but more importantly it creates a unique and fun look for enthusiasts of the BR-01 92.The dial of the BR-01 Radar is what makes this watch peculiar. The traditional hands that point out the time have been replaced by three discs that are marked with colored lines.

Evolution of the Planet Ocean
Does any one think the PO will begin an evolution much like the Rolex Submariner? With it being a hit, I suspect Omega will just make marginal changes every few years. Or do you think it will market it like the Sub, with an upgraded Sea Dweller, and then a super upgraded Deepsea?I'm like my PO, but I am geting that urge to want a super Planet Ocean, and in two minds between getting the Liquid Metal, or wait a year until the new PO is released.Hope I make sense.
Used Explorer 114270 vs New 214270 (2016)
Hello all:I haven't posted in ages (and have only posted a time or two). Thanks for all the informative advice to others that I have found useful as well.I've come out of the shadows because I'm now in the market for an Explorer 114270 or 214270, and would like some feedback. I like smaller watches, around 36mm, and have my eye on an 114270, but have begun to wonder how many links the bracelet would need to fit my 7.5 in. wrist. So many used 114270 don't come with all of the links. Should I be looking for one with a minimum of 11 links, 12 links? Also, how about service history? If it's running at COSC standards, should I worry about service history? What should I look out for with a watch that is 15+ years old? Finally, with these concerns in mind, would I just be better off buying a new 214270? Cost aside, does the 39mm version wear all that much bigger? I tried on an Explorer and Datejust 36mm at an AD and really liked the 36mm DJ. But that was a DJ and not an Explorer. So I'm not s
