Maurice de Mauriac Watch Straps 2012
Daniel Dreifuss of Maurice de Mauriac in Zurich is as wild about straps as he is watches. Sometimes maybe even MORE excited. The boutique brand's founder is perpetually in search of exciting new straps, strap makers, and materials. This is a labor of love that has him looking for the finest ways to attach his watches to your wrist.I sat with Daniel recently to check out some of his 2012 creations and styles. Watch is about 15 years old - this will be its 3rd service (last 2 were through Omega in Beverly Hills and it has been 5 years since the last one). It was losing about 20 seconds/day, so definitely due for service. Omega website says $675 for basic service. The list below is quoted by Hyde Park (Denver) at $760. Is there more on this list than would normally be required? Polishing is another $150. Any concerns about Hyde Park?
