TechnoMarine Listens Carefully To Cries From The Apparently Large Segment Of Under Diamond-ed Rich Active Women With The New UF6 Diamond Watches
The mother of all luxury is to be rich and active right? You have lots of money AND the time to use that money doing active things. Want to go bike riding in South Africa over the weekend? No problem, fill up the $100,000 tanks of gas on the small private jet and get yourself over there. You'll also need the right watch for the trip there. Perhaps not the best thing for the actual bicycling, but you know, a nice sporty and diamond encrusted watch to get you in the mood.Well, TechnoMarine hears you. They more than hear you (if you are a woman that is), and have released some new watch with various levels of diamond weight. A 1.8ct and 3ct model, depending on much of your vision you want assaulted with the shine from a woman's best friend. These watches are based on the existing UF6 series from TechnoMarine, but have some added design features and the diamonds of course. The watches are actually pretty nice to look at. Having a unique technical and futuristic look, they are proud looking
Lucky day at the airport (first Rolex)
So, I was walking through Schiphol on Friday, with an hour to kill before my flight home, when I happened upon a 116710LN at the airside Gassan store. It was sitting the the display window (the only SS model they had) and the salesperson said she had just put it out there minutes before.Moments later, it was on my wrist, and I boarded my flight home with a big smile. This is my first Rolex, and as a frequent business traveller, I think the GMT complication will be very useful. Here's a quick picture taken from the lounge. By the way, for those who might be interested in buying a watch from the airport, I paid exactly MSRP minus VAT (which in NL, is 21%), so in this case 7,750 EUR - VAT = 6,404 EUR.
Second Rolex Advice
OK - so I got the Rolex bug. Love my 114060 (2 weeks old) and it has made me rethink some of my other watches. I am now looking to add a second used Rolex to my collection. May even sell/trade off my watches and keep just 2 or 3 Rolex's. I know this is a personal decision, but advice is never a bad thing. Let me know if you started over what would you get. Appreciate the insight!! I do not require a GMT, but don't mind having more functionality. Current114060 - Daily (Haven't taken off my wrist minus sleep) - only one I grab now in the morningOptions (no order)1. 116610LV - This started my infatuation for Rolex, but prices are high now. Couldn't justify the huge increase over my SubC. Seems redundant since its a second sub. I do love it though!!2. 116670 BLNR - I like the black and blue bezel, but it's sort of similar to the sub (black dial). Seems like I am adding some Blue and PCL's to a Black sub (minus complication). If they had a Pepsi in SS I would choose that over BLNR3. 216570
Date Coming to Other Black Bay Models?
Now that Rolex has a date complication on the Black Bay TT and the Black Bay steel bezel, is anyone thinking that Rolex will introduce date to the other rotatable bezel Black Bays?
My Wife's new addition
After spending most of January looking for a new addition to our collection she picked a Wonderful 31 Oyster perpetual with a lovely Silver Dial. Our local AD which we have known for sometime in Canterbury treated us to a bottle of Champagne with a few added extras..After the wife spent a short time admiring our new purchase while I popped over to have a look at the wolf winders..I pop back to the desk to take a few photos and totally unaware there's something not quite right..The wife is looking the other way trying so hard not to give the game away..trying hard not to laugh..Still totally unaware of what my wife and staff had done... Rotten lot well I really need glasses...
