World #1 Novak Djokovic is Newest Audemars Piguet Ambassador
As the U.S. Open gets under way in Flushing Meadows, Audemars Piguet has announced that the world's number one tennis player, Novak Djokovic, has joined the brand as its latest Ambassador. Seeded number 1 at the U.S. Open, Djokovic has enjoyed an exceptional 2011 season, running his record to 57-2, including five wins over former #1 Rafael Nadal. Djokovic joins AP ambassadors including LeBron James, F1 superstar Michael Schumacher, and golfers Lee Westwood and Rory Mcllroy, among others.According to Audemars Piguet, the relationship began several months ago when Djokovic paid a discreet visit. After visiting the workshops in La Brussus, Djokovic expressed his admiration for the brand's watches, and especially for the movements. The watch has not a nick on it, and has been put through its paces with ease. I recently went to a local AP AD and was talking all sorts of references from many brands, and was instinctively drawn to the diver in person. Was essentially told without a doubt I can get close to what I paid back for my SD and into a LNIB AP diver with the enclosed case back (not sure what the latest serial designation this is) for a great price. A bit of cash would have to be added from my end, but I am able and willing to make the switch if this would make sense. My issues lie with accuracy, and durability of the movement. From what
Self-gift my new 5711 blue
After 10hr flight to Ireland for family holiday my first port of call was collecting my new Nautilus - so pleased with it! Also uploaded pic of my birthday cake (glad watch wasn't inside!)
Preference? SS, 2 Tone, or solid PM?
My evolution on watch preference has gone from 2 tone, to solid PM to SS.Any strong feelings?
