My Topman Smart Futurist Analogue Watch Article On AskMen.com
This was admittedly a tough watch to talk about. Unlike the Timex Classic Camper ($35), this Topman Smart Futurist Analogue watch is not a little beater watch dedicated to function, but rather a $40 fashion watch with more fashion backwards relevance than anything else. As a watch, there was not too much to talk about. Case and quartz movement with quirky looks? Not much material there. Instead the piece is a commentary on the design, and what I think it all means. So check it out.See my Topman Smart Futurist Analogue watch article on AskMenwatches-dealer here. Hamilton Khaki Pilot Pioneer Review
Brands like Hamilton are very lucky. Throughout their lifetime, they have manufactured watches of every different type, many of which have earned an iconic status. Now, when they design a new watch, they have a massive archive to draw inspiration from, or recreate directly from. The last time we took a look at a Hamilton, we reviewed the Intra-Matic, which is an elegant dress watch based on a classic 60's design. Not only did that watch successfully resurrect a beautiful vintage timepiece, it proved how relevant 60's design is to today's style.Staying true to the theme of reviving classic designs, Hamilton released the Khaki Pilot Pioneer Automatic Chronograph at BaselWorld 2013, one of our favorite pieces from the show. The Pilot Pioneer is based on a RAF issued watch from the 70's, which is highly collectible. Powered by a Valjoux 7733 and sporting a unique and subtly asymmetrical case, the original watch is unlike any other. For a thorough history of this watch, its design and signi
Introducing The Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic Skeleton: An Automatic Skeleton for Under $1,200
Skeletonized watches are not generally known for being wallet-friendly. All the extra engineering and handwork required to create a sturdy, beautiful, open machine drives prices upwards. But as part of their collection for Baselworld 2013, Hamilton is introducing an automatic skeleton for under $1,500 with the Jazzmaster Viewmatic Skeleton. Here's your first look.Housed in a 40mm stainless steel case is a special new skeletonized movement from ETA (a fellow Swatch Group brand) that is 100% exclusive to Hamilton. The entire package has a very 1960s vintage look to it, from the thin profile to the shape of the lugs. The lighter silver material on the dial is the "dial" itself, while the darker grey is actually the movement plates which have been integrated into the openworked dial for a multi-layer look. 2 OF 3 Viewmatic - Two Tiered Dial Made Up Of A Dial Proper And The Movement Plates Instead of going for an ornate filigreed skeleton, Hamilton has opted for the more
Any problems with the Omega push-butto clasp?
I have never had a problem with my SMP till somebody mentioned that the spring on the push-button can be worn out. This will cause the watch to open up because the springs are no longer giving the tension that is needed.I am afraid over time object 'A' will lose it's tension and it will not lock on to the to the pin.Anyone replaced the springs...or know how this works because lately it is really easy to push the two buttons as compared to new.
