Mens NOS Omega Military Seamaster 300 Divers Watch 1970
New to the board and was hoping to get some feedback from some of you boardmembers who are omega fanatics......For sometime now I've seen these NOS Omega Seamaster watches posted on Ebay...I've done some various google searches on these watches and it seems that there is a company called Watchco in Australia which was a former distributor and authorized repair facility for Omega and they continue to make these watches out of NOS parts. I-ve posted a link to a current auction and have included a couple of pics also below.....I am a fan of vintage watches and the look of this watch with the stainless mesh bend is fantastic. I wanted to see if anyone on the board has one of these NOS watches and get your impression feedback and wrist pics. It would be especially interesting to see one of these side by side with a rolex sub or gmtcgi.ebay/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:ITCHEERS!
Incoming ;-)
Hi fellow Trf-membersA lot of advice, watch-surfing, a little enabling and not a lot of common sense ;-) has finally let me in the direction of my first Patek. Had a trip to Rome, Italy, planed with my two children and by chance I found a mint unworn 5711 blue dial in a shop in Rome I know from before. It's a short flight from Denmark and I go there a couple of times a year to relax, sightsee and enjoy the Roman cuisine ;-)This spring I picked up my first PM watch (116718LN) in Rome so it has been a nice watch-year for me ;-)Tomorrow we are flying to Rome and I'll pickup my new watch in the afternoon if all goes by plan. I have an option on a 5712 but I'm pretty confident that I will be posting pics of a 5711 in the Roman sun tomorrow ;-)Thank for the advice, guidance and not least patience. RegardsAlexander Ps. Feel free posting a picture or two ;-)RegardsAlexander116718LN GN, 116600, 116200, 116610LV

Folks I am contemplating the purchase of a deploy clasp and that begs the following questionsHow do owners like them over regular clasp? I e how do they compare. Can one get a deploy clasp made from titanium? What's the best way to obtain oem product when the closest AD is 1600 miles away. Thank you for any help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Explorer 11 cream dial / Submariner buying advice
HiThis is my first post. I'm looking for a couple of pointers from all you knowledgable folks.I have a cream dial Explorer 11 (pic below) that I have had from new and just hammered (I can't even begin to tell you what it's been through!). Anyhow I plan on making it my weekend watch as to be honest I need a darker dial because I can't actually see it clearly in lower light. I have a friend who had a similar watch and when he sent it for servicing to Rolex, they replaced the dial contrary to his wishes. Is this something anyone else has ever encountered? So, to the second part of my post; I'm looking to get a no date steel sub but here in the UK the waiting list is 2yrs as of today. Is it worth getting in on a good but expensive preowned one or waiting my turn for a new one. I do realise this latter point is subjective but just wanting to garner some general thoughts. Thanks in advance for your helpRaf
