IWC Opens its Flagship New York Boutique with VIP Gala, Limited-Edition Watch
Some would say that IWC Schaffhausen opening its first U.S. flagship boutique in New York City is long overdue; after all, the brand, which was established in 1868, has the distinction of being one of the very few Swiss brands to be founded by an American, Florentine Ariosto Jones. This week, IWC cut the ribbon on this long-awaited landmark, located on New York’s fashionable Madison Avenue, in grand fashion, with an exclusive cocktail party attended by celebrity friends of the brand and the launch of a U.S.-only limited edition timepiece. IWC’s many fans are likely to find that the store was worth the wait. The opening-night affair? saw appearances by such notable IWC fans as supermodels Adrianna Lima and Karolina Kurkova; actors Matthew Fox (“Lost”), Channing Tatum (“The Vow”), and Chris Hemsworth (“The Avengers”); and boxing legends Evander Holyfield and Larry Holmes. Also in attendance were several notable people connected to boxing ico
Help with next purchase, RO ROC ROO
I need your advice for my next purchase So my watches for now are the 116610LV and the AP Diver, and planning on getting an AP nextMy options are the RO 15400 blue dial, or ROC blue dial, or I might be able to get the Milano boutique edition but I will miss the bracelet on that one. If I get one of these I might be able to get the Rolex GMTII BLNR as well. Or maybe the 44mm ceramic with the anthracite dial but I won't be able to get the BLNR if I do this, I may also have to sell my subI really love the ROC but the movement not being in house and not an exhibition case back is bothering me a bit, and the 15400 is gorgeous but it looks a bit small on my wrist as it is slightly thinner than the ROC and lacks the extra pushers, the 44mm is amazing in every way but giving my current collection and what I would have to let go to get it, this is a hard choice! What would you do if you were me? And so sorry for the long read
Red All Over
Got inspired by the 'Blue for You' thread from Jocke on the Rolex area. Enjoy my friends!!!
OUT with the reduced, IN with the PRO!
Well, I'm probably not the first nor the last person who went through this :) I posted some photos earlier after I picked up my first speedy reduced (3520.50) it was a beautiful watch but I was very quickly (1month later) finding the Speedy Pro harder and harder to resist. I dealt with a fabulous dealer here named Kirill. Outstanding guy, straight shooter, great communication, the works! (Thanks Kirill) I'm now the new owner of the Pro! Some pics without further delay. After enjoying it on the bracelet for a couple of hours I decided to take a little bit of this beautiful super soft leatherAnd went to workTurned in into thisNow it can look like that! :)
Insurance in UK
Hi everyone, Seeking a home insurance in the UK that would cover my Smurf. I have currently AVIVA however they will only cover the watch if it is in the same room I am in. (i.e. cannot leave the watch out of sight)thanks
