Specimen In The NauticFish Watch Evolution Is Appealing Acquisition
The German dive watch company NauticFish is an offshoot of the larger Schaumburg/Lindburgh & Benson watch group. A few years ago, the brand was set up as vehicle for more aggressive German watches that complimented, but did not necessarily compete with the popular Schaumburg line of diving watches. The first NauticFish watches were actually little more than rebranded Scahumburg watches with minor changes. Currently, NauticFish watches have their own special character, but that did not occur over night. Over the last few years, little design changes resulted in the current product, of which many are nice hybrid designs between the appealing look of Schaumburg dive watches and the NauticFish style. The first changes appeared on the face with the hand and number indicators, then the bezel treatment, and other items changed as well. This particular watch represents a halfway point from what NauticFish used to be, and what it is today. Seamaster advice needed
GuysYou probably know that I was looking to cash in on my loyalty card offers and put them towards an Omega Moonwatch. However, now the Moonwatch is almost Rolex money I'm kinda stuck.I had been thinking of buying my 6 month old son a watch and sticking it in the safe (with regular servicing) so that when he's 21 he gets a sweet vintage watch. At Goldsmiths I have seen this...However, I know bugger all about Seamasters. This is the 41mm automatic movement...it's about 1300. With my vouchers next year I could pick one of these up for free. What do you think? Can you give me any info on it?J
Patek UK Pricelist
Anyone received a new post 1 August list yet? My AD has decided to be difficult and not give me one!!
5131 for $135K
I finally stumbled upon one of my favorite PP complicated watches, and it also happens to be one of the most sought after references. The only catch is the store (non-AD) wants $135K, which is multiples of what the retail price is. I realize this is the price the owner thinks he can sell it for, but I find the price egregious. Seems like a big premium, and I'd be at particular risk if PP finally figures out how to manufacture these dials in greater quantity. I'm first on the wait list at my AD, although it seems very unlikely I'll ever get it. My other favorite complications are the 5170 and potentially the 5760a (but need to see it in person first). I could also go grand complication at that price, but would prefer to stick with plain old complications for now. Thoughts?
