The Rolex Cellini Collections: Here’s What You Need to Know
Rolex watches are the most recognized, high-profile timepieces available. When the occasion calls for something dressed-up, look no further than the manufacture's Cellini line of elegant dress watches. Rolex launched three new and distinctive Cellini families at Baselworld 2014. Here's what you need to know.Cellini timepieces are known for their refined elegance and simplicity, and the new families continue that tradition. Each family is named for the information it conveys: Time, Date, and Dual Time C names as pure as the watches themselves.Though the families differ based on degree of mechanical complication, they share several attributes. The cases are available exclusively in 18k white or Everose gold that has been cast by Rolex in its own foundry. At 39 mm, the cases are perfectly sized for modern dress watches. Each case is topped by a two-tier bezel C one smooth and the other with the trademark Rolex fluting. Similar fluting provides functional decoration on the caseback. A spec
Marvel Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Homage The MB&F HM3 Niche Luxury Watch
Credits: Mutant Enemy, ABC Studios, Marvel Television / Ariel Adams watches-dealerEver wonder what impact niche-appeal, high-end watches from small independent brands make on the larger general culture? This prop gadget from the Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. television show is how, and it illustrates how a niche luxury product is able to make a stylistic impact on a pop culture demographic that probably has no idea where the idea came from in the first place. In episode 11 (season 1) of ABC's new for 2013-2014 Joss Whedon-produced "Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" television show, this item showed up as a wrist-worn tool. A distinctive item, it takes a true watch guy to understand exactly what the gadget was emulating. In the episode, a wrist gadget was developed and used which was clearly based on the MB&F HM3. We have an watches-dealer review of the MB&F Horlogical Machine No 3 here. The tool was featured in episode 11 "The Magical Place" and wasn't really a watch but more of a d
Sound from Breitling Bentley A13363 Movement
Hello Folks,I have a Breitling Bentley A13363 and when I tilt the watch from side to side it makes a sound like a tiny ball or screw rolling inside the watch. Anyone ever encounter this with their Bentley's (or Breitlings in general)? The seller I bought it from says that it's just the movement, but I just wanted to make sure that its not something else. I still have 10 days to return the watch. Any help will be much appreciated.Thanks.
Planet Ocean Chrono Issues
I have seen a few issues with this model. Two had a defective column wheel lever (lever would not engage the column wheel, which impeded the proper functioning of the chronograph) and one had a loose (completely unscrewed) oscillating weight screw. All on new watches, fresh from factory. That whole Toyota thingee got me in the mood to talk about manufacture defects and such.
DJ41 Jubilee Links... Nobody has them...
Big wrists are a curse for Rolex people. After purchasing a DJ41 w/ jubilee (all stainless 126300), considering adding a link for the hot and humid summer coming up. Nobody has them... The links are unique to the DJ41 so previous model links do not work. eBay, grey market, etc. - None. Rolex AD said 3 week wait to get one with $20 shipping (sourced from Switzerland?). If anyone knows a source (besides AD), would be thankful for a point in the right direction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
