The Flinders Automatic by Melbourne Watch Company
The list of independent watch brand-hopefuls continues to grow with another crowd-funding entry in the shape of Melbourne Watch Company. Melbourne and its founder, Sujain Krishnan are using Indiegogo as the platform to back their first production watch, the Flinders Automatic. Before stepping off on his quest to design his own watch, Sujain ran Melbourne Custom Watches, a shop that created homage military and pilot style watches. The small business ran for the past year with enough success for Sujain to realize he had the potential to expand beyond creating other people’s designs and homages into his own brand. One slight name change later and we have the Melbourne Watch Company and a first timepiece. The Flinders is their first original design and was named after Melbourne’s Flinders Street Station. For those not familiar with the name Flinders Street Station is a railway station in Melbourne that services the entire metropolitan rail network. Although named after a railway,
AP swag incoming and special thanks to MasterSerg
I want to send a special shoutout and thank you to my friend Sergio (MasterSerg)... Him and I became friends through TRF, and during one of our many text convo's we discussed those awesome AP brown travel boxes. Today, I received a special incoming today from Serg... Once again, thank you so much, Serg!
Anybody gotten a "partial maintenance" from an Omega Service Center?
Hey all, I have a few Seamasters that are keeping good time but have an unknown service history. Full overhauls seem unnecessary and I was thinking of going the partial maintenance route for some peace of mind.Has anybody here gotten a partial service from an Omega Service Center, and if so how was your experience/wait time? The cost is significantly lower than a full overhaul, naturally:Thanks! And here's my ragtag band of Seamasters:

Picked this great piece up from Watch Expo in Newport Beach, CA. Have to say one of the best watch buying experiences I've had. Thank you to Paul and his staff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
114060 swap with 16710 Pepsi?
Was recently offered a trade for my 114060 mint from Dec 2016, for a year 2000 16710 faded Pepsi with an extra Coke insert. The watch is almost a full set, missing just the warranty card (long past warranty by now), but does have service papers from Nov 2017. Owner says the watch is unpolished, although I have not yet seen it in person. I've never quite been a fan of the Pepsi GMT, but would like to gather the collective opinion on TRF if this is a sane trade? I have two 114060s (one is still BNIB), so this opportunity seemed tempting. Or are there better trades out there?Thank you TRF family.
