Question for Diver owners
A basic one here but I just got my Diver yesterday so I don't know :)How thight should the crown (both) be to avoid water damage? I don't want to mess up the rubber on the crown by over doing it but at the same time I want to avoid water damage, does it has Rolex type mechanism ( sub and others ) that water won't get in even unscrued? The truth is I don't plan using it for diving but I want to make sure if I use it in the pool or other lite water activities I am ok.ThanksSimon
Deployment Buckle vs. Tang
I admit that over the last few years, I have really been drawn to both rubber and leather straps. I find them to be exponentially more comfortable than metal. So on my continued quest to find the perfect watch for me, I find myself looking at a number of different brands. I have noticed that more often than not, I am looking at watches with tang buckles, rather than deployment. I don't understand it. Watches that cost many thousands of dollars and they don't have a deployment buckle. I am guessing that I am missing something. Can someone enlighten me as to why this might not be included with a watch. I am currently wearing a JLC Deepsea Chrono and this watch is nothing short of spectacular...but again no deployment. Would love it if anyone had any insight.
The tenor of the Patek sub-Forum on TRF...be a gentleman
Be a gentleman. As a fairly active member since early 2014 with a respectable number of posts, I see the tenor of the Patek sub-forum on TRF changing.I view TRF, which is public internet forum, as a place where watch enthusiasts can engage, share ideas, and without judgement, share with words and photos in a passion of luxury goods that in today's world could be perceived as showing off. Even the most entry level Rolex, for example, could be considered showing off for most of the population. We, as watch owners, enthusiasts, and collectors, are fortunate. I will never discount the hard work that goes into one's success (yes, there are those who are given or bequeathed large sums, but good for them, no judgement), but I always will be grateful for the opportunities I was given. I have tried, and continue to do so, to take advantage of these opportunities with utmost integrity and concern for others, and to provide for my family and for others in need and charities. However, the TRF Pa
If only ONE!!! BLNR or Bluesy Sub C
So if you it came down and you were a one watch guy ,Would choose the BLNR or Bluesy Sub C as an all Rounder ? Or maybe flip Sub C Bluesy for Sub C date LN?LVC is a non starter... The Bluesy is so much more stunning than the Sub C Date LN imho... though BTW, PM is not an option ... I know it's all a matter of personal preference and both (BLNR & Bluesy) are stunning in their own right ... Just wondering what my fellow TRF'ers would choose and why ?
