A Conversation with Tom Anstead of Anstead Watches
A few weeks ago, we got the chance to chat with Tom Anstead, owner and designer of Anstead Watches. Anstead is a retired officer of the United States Navy. His naval career, as well as the watches available to him during his time in service, very much informed the design of the Anstead Oceanis.Anstead's first generation Oceanis debuted a couple of years ago, a product of one of the early Kickstarter watch campaigns. The second generation debuted in September. We wanted to get his thoughts on a second generation timepiece, his plans for the future of Anstead Watches, and his thoughts on the potential of the watch industry in the United States.Ed Estlow for Worn and Wound:With easy global sourcing and availability of watch parts, there are dozens, maybe hundreds, of boutique brands starting up. Royal Oak Everyday & Everywhere
Looking for some advice. I have read almost all the threads on how delicate and is this OK for everyday but am hoping to connect with those that really beat on the modern references. I have been wearing a modern GMTc everyday for about two years. From the Board Room to the Gentleman's club. Construction sites to weddings. Big meeting and large presentations to street hockey and alcohol fueled fist fights... it has served me well. I cannot get the thought of the silver 15400st out of my mind and am thinking of retiring my GMT or passing it along to a family member. Can the 15400 really handle my lifestyle?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ROO Movement
Are there any actual problems with the chronograph using a piggyback chrono vs being integrated? For instance is there any proof that they require any more service than one which is integrated?
2 more deliveries?
Popped into my local AD today to pick up my BB red, (had issue with bezel)they were very apologetic, (not their fault) after a little chat, and a little comment from me saying no problem its not that i was with out a watch was it, they said no, not the point, and we know whats on your list, So now wondering, will any of them be delivered to them before xmas?? which I'm guessing is 2 more, nov, and dec??
