Breitling Chronomat 44 Frecce Tricolori Watch
From commercial to military and all of the enthusiasts in-between, Breitling has spent many years cultivating a close and valuable relationship with the world of aviation. Earning a reputation like Breitling's requires a hands-on approach to connect the Breitling name with aviation outfits all over the world. It is with this in mind that Breitling recently announced a special edition of their Chronomat 44 to commemorate their partnership with the Frecce Tricolori (the Tricolor Arrows). Essentially, the Italian Air Force's equivalent of the Blue Angels, the Frecce Tricolori are a demonstration and aeronautics team whose relationship with Breitling dates back to the mid-80's, when they chose Breitling as their official watch supplier.Breitling worked with the Frecce Tricolori to produce a purpose-built pilot's chronograph and designed the watch that would, just a year later, become the Breitling Chronomat, which is now one of the most recognizable names in their product line up. Entourage's Jeremy Piven Gets Gifted Character's Audemars Piguet Watch
Now this is a nice little story that will warm that hearts of all watch lovers. For years Audemars Piguet (among other high-end watch brands) have been featured in the HBO series Entourage. Co-star Jeremy Piven's character Ari Gold wore at least a few Audemars Piguet watches. Most recently we was wearing a solid 18k rose gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph (ref. 25960OR.OO.1185OR.01). I believe this is the piece shown in the article. I actually haven't been able to catch all of Entourage's final season 8 get get the full story on Gold getting the watch. OK, that is all nice and good, but such Hollywood watch placements are common. The fun news is that the show's creator Doug Ellin gifted Piven the watch to keep as a token of his gratitude for Piven's role in the series. It just goes to show how a watch still makes an excellent and sentimental gift. The rose gold Royal Oak Chronograph retails for about $50,000 I believe. Enjoy the last season of the show and look out for nice watch
Would I be crazy not to do this trade?
I have a Boutique Blue dial 15400OR on bracelet that I can sell and buy a 26331OR(ROC) also on the bracelet with basically the same amount of money (maybe need to add $500 to a $1,000) Would I be irrational not to go through with this?!!? I love the simplicity and the blue dial of the 15400, but I feel a chronograph is a natural upgrade! Thoughts?
How does this fit? Need your expert help
Hi I'm completely new to the panerai world and would like to get your expert opinion. I have 6.75 wrists and normally wear Rolexes (Daytona, BLNR, Seadweller4000). So I'm used to 40mm. What your thoughts on size on my wrist with these two PAMsToo big for my wrists? I know PAMs are supposed to look big. Maybe I'm just too used to Rolex. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Deal advice on a new DJII
Since the sport watches I now want aren't easily available without paying a steep premium (BLNR, Hulk, Daytona), I'm thinking about adding a DJ to the collection. It'll also be a nice new piece to round out my 16710 Pepsi and 116613LB Sub.Spoke to an AD who is offering 20% off brand new DJII since he has a bunch of DJ41's in stock now. The DJII is white dial, fluted bezel, which is a combo I'm fond of.Is this a good deal? I'm not as familiar with the market on the DJ so looking for advice. Thanks guys!
