HourTime Show Watch Podcast Help Desk 1
In addition to the regular HourTime show format, we are experimenting with a new Help Desk show. The idea is that you can call, chat, or e-mail in with your questions. Using the POWER OF THE INTERNET - lol - you can be a part of the show. The idea of the Help Desk is to address what you have on your mind, as well as to make the show more interactive. The more I see it,the more I like the 5905p. And, although I'm a sucker for blue (and like it on this reference), I really like the black dial. Look forward to seeing one in the metal. Picture courtesy of Patek site. Have people warmed to this more (or less) since Basel?

Heresy: the 5167r isnt growing on me...
Bought a 5167r a few months ago and wear it most weekends. Nice, but to be honest not thrilling - the dial on my black AP 15400st is nicer and more interesting to look at and it is easier to dress up than brown on composite strap - unlike the AP I dont ever wear the 5167r during the week. Would like a PP for my collection (which is otherwise all rose gold and includes an IWC chronograph classic, a day-date presidential, a reverso grand duo, an ALS 1815 chrono and a GP 1966 classic) but not sure the 5167r is going to be the one.Not interested in AC or PC complications. Am thinking about trading down for a steel 5167, trading laterally for a 5164 (I do travel a fair bit), or trading up for a 5980r on leather. Giving the 5167r more time is also an option as I am not pushed to move it. Would appreciate advice.

Rolex monitor grey market?
There have been some interesting threads here recently about 'flipping' and subsequent consequences (for AD and staff). I'm just curious - do you think Rolex SA or AD's monitor sales threads, or use other means to 'follow' recently sold watches? In the absence of a warranty claim its hard to imagine how they could.... I'd be interested in peoples views......

Some thoughts after a couple weeks of daily wear:1) Had my choice of colors...The white/off white/silver dial was a no brainer to me in person. Stunning...easier to read. Blue was just too, blue....And the black was great, but I don't want any more black dial watches....I have enough to fill up three weeks of changes. I had to kind of laugh when you see the white dial selling at the lower end of the three colors. Kind of makes me think that people are buying based on pictures. Not on in hand experience. Don't get me wrong, they are all gorgeous, but white takes the cake, even if we are just talking about legibility.2) The statement watch. I have a lot of watches. Some make more statement than others. My AP's get looks all the time. My YMII. Full gold blue sub. This one however, takes the cake. Its an absolute beacon. It is not a quiet and reserved watch in ANY way.3) Comfort. I don't know my wrist size, but on subs and what not, I am a full link guy, middle of the glide lock. This wa
