Barrington Watch Winder Review
Watch winders They're kind of a mysterious watch accessory. They can be had for very cheap, or for way too much, yet in the end of the day all do the same thing, save a perk or two. Pricing comes down to, like watches themselves, quality of components and finish. They range from pure business in black plastic with slightly noisy motors that you can tuck away on a shelf, to models built of luxurious hardwoods and leather, driven by precision engines that are dead silent and look better on a coffee table. They can turn just one watch, or a whole collection. No matter what, the goal is to keep your watches wound and in good condition. For those of us who collect watches in the more affordable and accessible spectrum, likely the first consideration is cost. I'd rather save my dough for the watches themselves, so spending more than $200 is quite unlikely, and even for that much, I'd want something pretty decent. Yes, a cheap winder with multiple slots is always tempting, but the reality of
Most expensive watch Ive ever tried on....
Terrible pic, the 7 foot security guard 2 from me was kinda tripping me out....It was cool that the guy let me try it on tho $271k Was at a jewelers in the mall in fashion island newport CA.Supposedly one of 10....
Anyone recently used Omega for service?
I have a Seamaster Professional with a 7750 movement that needs a service; it seems the self winding isn't actually winding (winding via the crown works and the watch, otherwise, keeps great time).I used a watchmaker who was recommended, but he couldn't find the problem and said it was working perfectly. I sent the watch back to him several times, and he would say he fixed it. Eventually, I stopped sending it back to him after he suggested that the hands can only be taken off so many times before they break....I want the watch fixed. I bought it new almost twenty years ago and it has always run perfectly. I'm disappointed with my experience with this watchmaker. Has anyone used Omegas service center? Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks. LS
Patek pricing is irrelevant
Because I'm never parting with this one.Enjoy your weekend!
PAM 375? What say you?
I had a chance to handle a PAM 375. Its quite nice and low profile. Felt like it sits closer to the wrist than other 47mm 1950 case (372, etc)Anybody has one? How does the composite case hold up?
