Bulova Precisionist Champlain 1/1000 Chronograph Review
Bulova isn't a brand that needs much introduction. One of the original American watchmakers, their history and significance is well known having developed many innovations in its 100+ year life. Now owned by Citizen, the brand still continues to develop interesting and unique lines of watches. One such line that was first introduced in 2010, but seems to go a bit under the radar, is the Precisionist line.Featuring a very unique movement, the Precisionists are unlike any other quartz watches you've ever seen. Incredibly accurate and with a smooth sweeping seconds, you'll double take the first time you see them in action. While a smooth sweeping seconds quartz might be enough to set these apart already, Bulova went and created a chronograph version with precision up to a thousandth of a second. Needless to say, we had to get our hands on one to see what they were all about and Bulova was kind enough to lend us a Precisionist Champlain Chronograph for this review. Coming in at $799, it's

Crossing the busy plaza, watch stolen of wrist...
Hey guys,Imagine these three scenarios;A. You're strolling across one of the busy plazas in Rome with your girl in one arm and the watch on the other..B. You're walking back to the hotel in downtown Bangkok after a good night out..C. You've been traveling around Kenya and now exploring Nairobi.....when suddenly your watch is stolen off your wrist. Basically, it could happen anywhere.Either way, which of these watches (/or brands) do you think is more likely to be recognised and stolen off your wrist? Rolex (GMT/SUB) or Patek (nautilus/aquanaut)?
3rd PAM Recommendation
I currently own a PAM563 and a PAM610 that I consider a base brother/sister combination. I am looking to add a third Panerai in the Luminor 1950 case. The three I am considering are all favorites: the 233, 1305, and 372. While I do agree that 44mm would be a more appropriate size, I am clearly open to 47mm. I have other dive, GMT options in my collection, though they are not Panerai such that complication really isn't important to me so much as overall look. The 233 is appealing with its domed crystal, sandwich dial, size. The 1305 would add a Submersible to my collection and I would likely keep it on a rubber strap which is something I don't currently have in my collection. The 372 is obviously the purest Luminor 1950 and has the most heritage. I would be looking for a plexi crystal version. I am eager just to hear your input and see pictures which direction I should go. My collection currently consists of two Rolex Submariners, an Explorer II, a GMT-Master II, a Datejust 41
Funny thing happened at dinner...
We've all seen those threads concerning comments about your Rolex. I've occasionally gotten some nice comments about my watches but rarely more than a terse compliment. Today was different. I was having dinner with the family at one of those local restaurants where the tables are pretty close to each other. Well I noticed that an attractive young couple next to us kept surreptitiously glancing over at me while whispering to each other. Finally, the lady leans over and says, pardon me sir but what kind of watch is that? This? It's an Italian brand called Panerai I replied.Thank you! I'm sorry for disturbing your dinner, but I've been looking for a watch for my fianc as a gift and we've been thinking of getting him a Rolex. But I much prefer how masculine and sexy your watch looks, she said.If you're interested in this model, you can order one at [local AD]. Ask for Josh, I suggested helpfully. Her fianc was grinning ear-to-ear... he's a very lucky man. Anyways, I just wanted to share and
