Watches NEWS
15703/15710 size and comfort
Hey guys,Thinking about getting an AP Diver. Only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is the size and comfort. I've tried it on on multiple occasions when visiting ADs and I think it works fine, but it's difficult to know without wearing the watch for at least a couple of hours. I've added some picture. My wrist size is 7 inches. m.imgur/a/CPZQFI like large watches, I own a 47mm PAM372 and have no issues with it. Would you guys say it wears bigger than a 47mm Panerai? I've read some comments saying it wears bigger than a 44mm Panerai , that's why I'm asking.. Many thanks
Carbon Case ROO Owners: Talk to me.
So I love my steel 44mm ROO, enjoying it immensely.I told myself that I was going to get one AP, and that was the one. And it is.(insert I told you so remark here...)But I'm smitten by the carbon version of the watch, and also with the Jarno Trulli. For me, the steel model will stand the test of time in that I feel it will still retain its character after 20 years. But thinking of picking up a second one... My constraints are that I do wear suits most of the time, so the only options that I'm looking at that are subtle enough, if that even is a fair term here, are the ROO 44mm carbon and the Jarno Trulli. For those of you who currently own or have owned a carbon case AP, let me ask an honest question: have you grown tired of the look? If you can share any experiences on owning an exotic material cased piece how long it has stayed in your favor.I have to admit the carbon is very comfortable to wear. Thanks again guys, looks like I'm going to totally slide down the AP slope....Oh and some pi
Speedy Redux? Just don't.
The only watch ever that quit working while on my wrist for no apparent reason is that unhealthy combination of a cheap Eta ticker with a non-fitting chrono module. I've talked to several very knowledgeable guys within the trade (who downright refused to try servicing it), and it basically comes down to the unfortunate facts I'm quoting here from another website, as this is the last effort I make regarding an Omega (Obviously Mechanical Garbage) Automatic Redux: Stay away, pals. You don't want this piece of ****. I've heard privately from several different people who have talked to watchmakers that the chronograph module in the reduced is a exceedingly difficult one to service... The time module, which is essentially a SeMP (non-chronograph) movement is is not at issue, however the word on the internet is that the chronograph module is nearly impossible to service or adjust for even the most technically adept watchmakers who speed though other common Omega Movements (c.321, c.x86x, c.1
5980/1a is discontinued
I'm not sure if this is news or not, but I saw it this morning on timezone and my AD confirmed it, the 5980/1a has been discontinued. He also said all 5960s have been discontinued.
Finally received my Daytona C!
Had this beauty on reserve since July as it was located in South America and I wasn't going to be here until December. Wired a down- payment and was glad the AD honored their word in keeping it for me. Stopped by just now and picked it up. Couldn't be happier! Great way to start the new year. Now I just have to find the nerve to take the stickers off, size it and wear it. Have to say though, couldn't have been done without my wife (who is from around here) who could speak the language, and was able to make this happen.Happy New Year everyone!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
