Michael Young
Well my wifes 1985 datejust Jubilee bracelet has seen better days. After 33 years its going to Michael Young for a spa treatment. I was told about $180 plus $40 for return shipping and 4-6 weeks +/-. We will see now that its on its way to Hong Kong.
SkyDweller Disappointment
I visited one of the local ADs today and tried on both the new SkyDweller and the old SeaDweller. I learned that I can't wear a watch larger than 40mm. Very disappointed. The SeaDweller was a nice watch, but there wasn't anything about it that made me like it better than the Sub. Oh well, back to thinking about the Sub.
First Rolex - Date model champaign dial with white font - is that unusual?
Hello!I'm new to all of this. I got what I believe to be a reasonable deal on my first Rolex. It's a Date model from the early 80's. As I've looked around at pictures of other similar models after I've purchased it from a reputable jeweler, I've noticed I haven't seen any other champaign color dials with white print. Sorry about the photo quality. Should I be concerned? Thanks!
Rolex Sub bracelet
Hi all,I took delivery today of a 'Kermit' 50th anniversary sub, serial F778xxx which I think dates it 2004.I have tried on 2006 and 2007 pieces but then found one online that was 'old enough' for me.But the bracelet has an awful lot of 'play' in it; the links move a full mm laterally and more than that towards/away from each other. And the clasp moves and rattles even when closed. I have read about the Rolex rattle but the forum posts I found using the search function all referred to vintage pieces - 13 years isn't really vintage. Plus the 06 and 07 ones I've tried didn't have this issue (I tried both within the last week) and there's not a great difference between an 11 and a 13yr old bracelet.I don't know if this can be resolved? I've seen suggestions of having a watchmaker re-pin the bracelet. Yet other responses suggest the cause of this issue would be the hole in the link itself widening, which would suggest new pins is only a short-term fix. Replacing the whole bracelet is pres
