Hands-On: With The Baume & Mercier Clifton Chronograph (Live Pics & Pricing)
Live from SIHH 2014 we gave you a look at one of the new complications introduced into the Baume & Mercier Clifton collection, the Clifton Retrograde Date Automatic. Baume & Mercier also added a chronograph to the mix. It's a simple three-register chrono with day and date indicators and relatively conservative styling. The details are executed nicely and coming in at under $4,000 it offers a pretty nice complete package at a reasonable price. When Baume & Mercier launched the Clifton collection this time last year, the initial offerings included time-only, GMT, and complete calendar models. They all shared 1950s-style Arabic numerals mixed with teardrop-shaped batons on the dials, simple but robust case shapes, and quality (if not particularly unique) movements. Aside from the case sizes being a little larger than we'd like ideally (41-43mm), these are modern watches that really appeal to someone who likes a vintage aesthetic. 2 OF 13 The Clifton Chrono
Omega case numbers?
Is there a reference online for Omega case numbers? Particularly the recent/current models.
What strap is awesome on a Speedy
Hey Guys,With all the Speedys around on this forum I was interested in getting some ideas on what straps people are running on them, as I am about to break with my traditional and beloved Seamaster SMPs and pick up my first 3570 Speedy.I have nothing against the bracelets and will swap back occasionally but I do prefer straps. If anyone has some photos of their Speedys or ideas on straps please feel free to post away.Cheers
Is The Thrill is Gone?????
Why does there be to be so little excitement for this brand anymore. Outside of the hardcore devotees, it seems the brand is almost viewed negatively these days. Aftermarket prices, certainly reflecting the lack of interest.Would love to get some thoughts from the hardcore Panera lovers. I've always enjoyed these great timepieces.
Possible Day Date 40 dial change?
Hi, was wondering if Rolex still allows dial changes on Day Dates? Did it a few years ago on a 36mm Day Date through the AD to them. Now I am thinking about a change in my rose 40mm. Please let me know if anyone has done it fairly recently in the U.S.. thank you!EricE
