AP 15202 vs 15300/15400
I know this is probably a sin to even mention it, but how many of you guys prefer 15300/15400 models over the classic 15202. Regardless of the price, if all being equal and you had a choice between brand new 15202,15300 and 15400, which one would you pick.I personally am on the fence. I tried 15202 several times and it never sang to me bad enugh. Not sure about the missing seconds hand, the thinner bracelet, no quickset date (which bothered me when I had to adjust it) and a few other issues I have with fragility, non screw-in crown and dial details. I really want to love it. Not yet. Maybe a few more tries...What about you?
First: First Post. First Patek. 5524G
I am a long-time collector with varied tastes and interests. I own only one Rolex (Explorer II Polar 42mm), and up until today, no Patek. I focused on some independents, some custom pieces, IWC, AP, Omega, Germans and others. Basically, I carefully collect what hits that nerve!I was smitten with the 5524G when it was introduced. I decided then, that I would own one, but would hold off and commemorate the sale of my business with this piece one day. At that moment, there was no specific timetable. Pleased to report the business transaction was finalized very recently...so...5524G here I come!I was able to find one (NIB) at an appropriate price with little drama. I picked it up today and am very pleased. The watch has been reviewed, discussed, photographed, by so many collectors and enthusiasts that I won't do so here. But I will share my first impressions, hours old now.The size, weight and wrist presence is a perfect match for my taste. I wear mostly sport/pilot/dive watches and am com

To everyone that has dealt with PASC
Been reading more and more horror stories about PASC and it is honestly starting to get to me... I currently have 5 PAMs (including one that belongs to my wife) and I've been fortunate so far that I haven't had to send any of them in for service yet. I'm almost dreading the day that comes... Just wanted to do an informal poll here to see what the experience with PASC has been for the people that have had work done by them.
Warranty on NOS from AD?
I recently purchased a yachtmaster for my wife from an AD. Last week, I noticed the warranty card was not in the box so I called them today. Well, I knew the watch had been discontinued and they did offer it at a discount (abet more than the preowned they had, and a LOT more than gray market). They told me today because it was sold as discontinued and sold with a discount, the watch was sold without a Rolex warranty (only their in store warranty, hince no card). My imagination is pretty creative on what really happened, but I want to believe it is something simpler (such as a 2015 model, so a 2 year in-house warranty is better than the 2 year Rolex). My next bet is that it was a like new rather than a nos-and the already registered warranty has already expired.Any other explinations?
