Follow watches-dealer At The SIHH 2014 Watch Show
January 20, 2014 is the first day of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva representing some of the most important watch brands around. It is one of the two major watch trade shows of the year, the other being Baselworld. SIHH includes all of The Richemont Group brands plus other SIHH partners for a total of 16 watch and jewelry makers: Cartier, Audemars Piguet, A. Lange & Sohne, Richard Mille, Panerai, IWC, and more. In addition to the brands displaying at SIHH, we will encounter other interesting watchmakers displaying their novelties in Geneva.The watches-dealer team will once again attend the invitation-only event in Switzerland to bring you lots of hands-on coverage and video of the latest and greatest watches for 2014. What It's Like To Make A Watch
Sitting on the watchmaker's bench, two things became apparent; that finger condoms (cots) choke the blood out of my fingers and looking through a loupe with just one eye gives you no depth perception when you need it most. For several days I took instruction from a master watchmaker while I and an watches-dealer reader were guests of Frederique Constant in Geneva putting together our first watch movement. It was a thrilling experience, and one that few people will ever receive, even if they pay for it. Unless they go to a watch making school that is.Technical Director and watchmaker Pim Koeslag is Dutch, and so is Peter Stas, who is the founder of Frederique Constant (with his wife Aletta). The manufacture which also houses sister brand Alpina is nestled (quite literally in the middle) of several famous manufactures in Geneva including Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, Rolex, and Patek Philippe. AP straps in Bangkok
Having holiday in BKK with my family. Found some nice straps in MBK for my new Pam. Did not manage to see any nice straps for AP though. I was actually looking for a strap for my 44mm ROO SS. Something which looks similar to the carbon Fiber strap with red stitching from AP Bands. Anyone know of any shops in BKK which have good selection of straps for AP?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had some free time try it on last week, I felt it was lil big on my girl wrist. Over the weekend I copped one here, I think this is the biggest watch I can do.

Ordered a nice crop strap to go with, I had a ostrich on my sub and it looked great so I thought the croc would be nice..Cam with box and booklets no warranty card...How hard would it be to find a period correct warranty card?Thanks!
