Tissot Lets You Try on Virtual Watches in Real Time 3D
Tissot has added 3D augmented reality technology to its website, allowing visitors to try on virtual watches in 3D and to interact with features on the brand’s pioneering Touch collection. When visitors hold their wrist in front of their webcam, they see themselves “wearing” virtual 3D watches in real time. 28 watch variations from the Touch collection are available to try on, including the new Sailing-Touch, T-Touch Expert and Sea-Touch. Beyond seeing how the watch looks on their wrist, visitors can experiment with the touch screen features of the watches, including the diver functionality of the Sea Touch and the altimeter, meteo (barometer), compass and thermometer of the wider ranges. Videos showcasing the features of each style run alongside the visual of the watch on the wearer's wrist. All the watches will also tell the correct time in digital and analogue.Click the screen capture below to give it a try!
Finally switched ! Deployment to tang
I have been thinking of making the switch on my ROO RG RC from the REALLY uncomfortable deployment for ages (like a year). Finally decided to switch after trying one of the new offshores and realising how much more comfortable it is with a tang buckle. So got a diver strap and and after market PVD buckle (the AP one's are crazy expensive especially in RG) and WOW what an improvement. Why did i wait so long !!!!!
Dark Side of the Moon Collection (Live Images)
Okay, so admittedly I wasn't overly compelled to look at the new white side of the moon, which looks a bit weird in my honest opinion, during Basel this year. But Omega may have pulled it out of the hat with the new DSotM Collection, which I think look pretty darned cool! Thoughts? You can read my thoughts here

Sub vs Sub date opinion turns into ramble..
I was trying to decide whether to get a Sub or Sub Date and have seen SO many debates on here I thought I'd share my thoughts (for right or wrong. And I know, it's already been done to death..*yawn*)As far as I can tell it all comes down to these two things:Do you want a date function or not?And do you prefer an older model or new? That's it. There's no other arguments to be had and here are a few things that lead me to this conclusion.Firstly, the issue of the date function making it not a classic' Rolex. From what I've been able to read the date was introduced in 1969 on the 1680 meaning the Sub has had the date for 49 years (only 16 years less than the Sub has been around.)How many years does a feature have to be around before it's accepted as a classic?Secondly, the dial is more balanced/symmetrical without the date.True but again isn't this a matter of preference? It's a design change to add functionality, not just popped in there to mess up the balance. The date window doesn't make
