Blancpain Saint Valentin 2008 Women's Watch: Very Nicely Done
Women's watches usually aren't given that much attention by watch enthusiasts. They come in two basic varieties, miniature dolled up versions of men's watches, or some watch richly gilded with jewels. While these watches can be appreciated, they are hardly things rich in innovation or novel interest. Typically, much more time is spent on men's watches when it comes to new technology, avant-garde styling or new complications.Another reason women's watches tend to be less interesting is that they are often quartz movements. This makes sense as women tend to want watches with less hassle as they switch between several of them. In spite of this however, there are a good deal of mechanical women's watches out there, and this Blancpain is an excellent example. While Blancpain has much history, it is a re-emerging brand. Now owned by the Swatch Group, who controls other luxury brands such as Breguet, Blancpain is best known for their diving watches, the Aqualung and 50 Fathoms, meant for deep
Bring a Loupe: A Submariner You Probably Haven't Seen Before, An Enicar You Likely Did Not Know, And A Heuer Autavia You Absolutely Should Not Buy
This week's Bring A Loupe will cover rare and attractive watches, available right now on eBay and at upcoming European auctions. Among our picks, you should not miss one of the rarest Tudor Submariners: the reference 7923, an early diver with a manually-wound movement. You will also find a white dial chronograph from Enicar, and a highly controversial Heuer Autavia. Dive watches will be represented, with a rare Longines and a funky Universal Geneve. This is your Bring A Loupe for November 20, 2015. A Funky Polerouter Sub From Universal Geneve C A Lot Of Orange At Once 1 OF 12 The second execution of the Polerouter Sub makes the first execution that we covered here appear almost conventional in comparison. Design-wise the second execution announced the 1970's with its bright orange hands, its large asymmetrical case, and the innovative indexes. Like the first execution, it houses an automatic movement with micro-rotor, the caliber 69, a rare feature in a div
which ap to get for my first ap?
Im thinking about picking up an AP. I love the panda dials. I just can't decide on which model I like best. I like the 44mm chrono but not too sure about the rubber band? Do they have leather bands for that one...

DateJust II vs DateJust 41 my thoughts
Hi all, newbie here so be gentle...I just recently purchased my very first Rolex - I have always been a huge fan of the Sub however since seriously thinking of buying a Rolex the DateJust caught my attention. Being new to the world of Rolex I went into my local AD and viewed the new DateJust 41 and was blown away, I thought this is a watch for every occasion unlike the bulky but handsome Sub.I wanted to add my thoughts on my experience of buying the DateJust 41 and massively regretting it because thats exactly what happened. For a while I was playing with the idea of a DateJust II 41mm I saw on the grey market, brand new TT yellow gold ivory indexes and I was playing with the idea of the SS DateJust 41 with blue dial, yes I was torn between these two drastic designs. After a lot of thought I went for the DateJust 41 SS Blue Dial Smooth Bezel Oyster Bracelet from my AD. I got home put it aside and thought I will wear that in the morning. That morning I opened the box and something didn'
