Omega Speedmaster: Present Day
Speedys in the movies (and TV). Speedmaster, the early years. Graduation to the Professional ranks. Electronic, quartz, and other Speedmaster variations. We've seen a lot of the Speedmaster over the last few articles, and it brings us to the present day.For sure, Omega knows what they have in their heritage. Along with creating new models, the last few years have seen Omega releases in the form of updates to venerable models of the past. These include several models from the Seamaster line, Broad Arrow models, the PloProf, and the Bullhead. The Speedmaster line includes the First Omega In Space homage to Wally Schirra's Mercury Sigma7 mission watch and the new MK II. And most of these reinterpretations carry the new co-axial escapement which the late George Daniels kindly provided the horological world.A quick check of the Omega website shows 13 major Speedmaster models. The variations total 73 different current releases when you add up dial, color, case material, strap/bracelet option
Need your thoughts to decide :-)
Hi All,I have been a member on this site for quite some time now and have been regularly reading all your posts and drooling over all the wonderful pics that you guys put up for the benefit of us all :-)I need your thoughts on deciding my next AP purchase. I am quite undecided between teh AP ROO 44mm SS and the AP ROO 44mm FC and would like to know hich one you guys would pick and why.A 3rd dilemma is wherher to go in for the AP ROO RGRC 42 mm as the prices of gold pieces have been cut and my AD is offering me a good price on it.Please help me choose between the three.Would appreciate your comments. Thanks & regards,Abner

NATO Strap
Looking to purchase a NATO Strap for my 312. What's the best place for a durable strap? I've been looking at the ones from the link below and the price scares me ($15), i feel like it's too cheap? Lastly, what size do i need for my 312? 22mm? Thanks in advance guys.crownandbuckle/straps...nato-22mm.html
OCD-issues with Bezel
Anyone else experiencing OCD-issues when looking at the notches not perfectly aligning on the Bezel? One would think that Rolex would nail this one, but my experience is that it’s completely random whether or not your notches on the bezel are aligned correctly. Have seen a dozen of Seikos getting this right, same goes for my DeepBlue Daynight. My own hulk lines up 90% perfect, but look at the attached image - this image is used by Rolex themselves on their website Not hating Rolex for this, but I thought we could expect near impeccable work from such a watchmaker.EDIT: Please post photos of your own Rolex and how it lines up.
