Carl F. Bucherer Manero AutoDate
This three-hand watch in vintage style is Carl F. Bucherer’s tribute to the 1960s – a decade that produced forms with lasting appeal. Back then, the simple, classical style of three-hand watches with smaller dials set new standards which remain important for the design of today's timepieces. Find pricing inside. The Manero AutoDate’s classic, straightforward design emphasizes functionality, which shows the essentials at a glance: the current time, and the date at 3 o'clock. The watch has a diameter of 38mm and incorporates the CFB 1965 automatic movement. The case, available in 18k rose gold or stainless steel, also offers a visually simple style. The finishing touches are characteristic of the Manero range. In addition to the Dauphine hands, the dial has gold-colored wedge-shaped index markers. The final aesthetic touch is the 18k rose gold bracelet for the gold model, or Louisiana alligator leather strap available in brown or black. The Manero AutoDate is priced as fo
How Facebook Fans Designed A Unique Rpaige Watch For Auction
Did you ever try to get one of the big brand watch companies to make a watch just for you?? Well, they do...but for a price that would make a colossal hangover seem like distant bells ringing. So, when my watch company's Facebook page, Rpaige Watch Co., reached 5,000 likes, I decided that it would interesting and fun to celebrate the milestone by having my Facebook followers, and visitors, collectively design one of my watches...then auction it off.I had no insights or expectations as to whether it would be a success or failure, and that really wasn't the issueI just thought it would be a fun for them and a great promotional event and fun for me.Here was the original post of the contest:I'd like to invite all of you in designing a new Rpaige Wrocket watch that I will auction off on our Facebook page when it's completed. Here's how it will work:1. The group picks a case material. either Steel or titanium2.The group picks a dial from several that I'll post .I can post up to 20 dials3.
Stowa Flieger Review
By putting out exceptional timepieces and providing some of the best customer service in the business, Stowa, under the helm of J?rg Schauer, has built up an unshakeable reputation within the WIS community. Schauer, who acquired the struggling company from the founding Storz family in 1996, recognized the inherent beauty of the brand's heritage. As such, he envisioned Stowa's current lineup by looking to the past, bringing back into production modern versions of Stowa's historical timepieces. Among the watches to return was the Flieger series. In 1939, Stowa launched production of their flieger (pilot) watches for the German Luftwaffe (air force). They were one of five companies to do so, the other four being IWC, Wempe, Laco, and Lange & S?hne. Despite its connection to one of history's darkest periods, the flieger remains an important marker in horology, and the design has endured countless iterations to become one of the most recognizable and homaged styles of all time. AP ceramic
I have read an article saying that the white ceramic on the diver is 1850 vickers, while the black is 1350, don't speak to me but they say the white is 9 times harder than steel, I find that a little hard to believe, what do you think?I read post of some owners that chip their bezels without big shocks, if it was so hard would it chip?Have read posts of ceramic cases breaking when falling on tile floor, but that was Panerai, I suppose the ceramic they use is not the same quality as AP, I know that when I go bike riding I don't take it as if I fall and it hits something it will surely break, steel bends ceramic not, I wanted a ceramic watch in part because of it being very hard to scratch, has anyone here chipped or scratched a bezel or case in ceramic from AP?Thanks guys
question about getting the speedmaster on your wrist
Maybe a dumb question, however, I have kind of a big hand, 7.5 inch wrist. Once on the speedmaster is a great size for me. However, trying to get it on is very tough fitting it over my hand. It is a vintage model, circa 1968, and has the original bracelet which is in perfect condition. I worry about water resistance so I don't wear it to shower, etc. and find it a pain to try to get it over my hand taking it off and on, and worry about stretching the bracelet while doing so. My rolexes have the diving extention, so that eliminates the issue as there is a huge opening until you close it up. Anyone have the same problem with the speedmaster, and more importantly, a solution? As I find myself wearing it on natos, etc. becasue of this issue.Thank you for any help you can offer!
