Louis Moinet Vernoscope With Jules Verne Instrument Watches
Steampunk fans rejoice. This artistic item of display is the new Louis Moinet Vernoscope. Meant to celebrate the popularity of the Louis Moinet Jules Verne Instrument watch collection. I think the watches were a bit of a surprise hit, but they are really cool. And by the way, I have an in-depth review of a Louis Moinet Jules Verne Instrument watch coming up soon. The Vernoscope was recently unveiled at the Maison d'Ailleurs (House of Elsewhere), a Swiss sci-fi museum. They have some interesting Jules Verne items there, and Louis Moinet has donated the first prototype Vernoscope to the museum. It is based on the the works of Jules Verne and made by artist Jean-Yves Kervvan (who Louis Moinet has worked with in the past). This is the next such interesting piece meant to be a watch container and an item of art from Louis Moinet - you can read about their previous item, the Meteoris here.I am not sure how many Vernoscopes will be made, but I promise you they will be part of a pretty limite
Saw this watching La LA Land
Sorry if I'm behind the times and this has been discussed but I saw this cool Omega on La La Land and wanted to know more about it, if you could kind ladies and gentlemen. Also do actors, Ryan Gosling in this case, get to choose the watch or the brand?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thoughts on Panerai PAM051 vs Rolex Explorer II 16570?
Work as a health professional and have wanted a high end but beater watch I can wear while working but also as a summer/cottage/beater watch. The rest of my collection is all vintage Rolex and Omega and with the exception of having one 'no worries' daily driver watch, the rest of my intended future purchases are dress watches.Any thoughts on these two white dial with date watches... I intend to put either on a rubber strap for the majority of wear.I want something waterproof, that I can accidentally bump and scratch and not worry about too much.As the Explorer II reference I like is discontinued and there are no local Panerai dealers I don't have an opportunity to put either watch on my own wrist.Another consideration is I don't know how easy it is to get a Panerai serviced in Canada. For those in Canada, how does that go if you need a general service or a repair?
Should I sell either my Airking 116900 or Milgauss black for a new Submariner 116400.
I have finally located a new Submariner (no date ) at RRP and now have a dilemma whether to part with my Airking 116900 or Milgauss Black dial 116400. one has to go to finance the deal but am torn which one to shed. One part of me says keep the Milgauss as it look more of a dress watch and the Sub being a sports model. Any thoughts??
